(Last visited on 5/26/2021.) My coworker spotted this food truck/cart one afternoon and said he wanted to try it. So we did and... it was so satisfying that we went back again the next day! Here's why! Atmosphere/Appearance: Seeing as this is a food truck,there isn't much to it. It's a cart that gets pulled by a truck or car of some sort, but then parked on the sidewalk on thecorner of North Charter and West Johnson Street. I don't know if it visits anywhere else, but the whole week I was there thecart consistently arrived at 10:00am and left around 4:30pm. Service: The guy inside is very friendly, soft-spoken and verysweet. He makes you feel welcomed and very safe. Food: So this place specializes in Vietnamese sandwiches. That's pretty muchall they do. There are 6 sandwiches you can choose from where the ingredients are chosen for you, but you can of coursecustomize your own. Both times I went I went with chicken as a meat, then added sweet pickled carrots w/diakon radishes, spicyjalapenos, fresh cilantro and dehydrated onions. The sandwich was so different from the "usual" sandwiches I eat. It was sweet,savory, fresh and just delicious. The bread was crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. It had a great balance. Value:$6.50 for a sandwich. You can't beat it. If you're in the downtown Madison, WI area, check this guy out! Support the localbusiness and you won't regret it! I honestly can't say enough good about Saigon Sandwich. The best Bahn Mi in Madison, and the best lunch to be found on campus.... They are a totally reasonable price, and for the flavor you get I think that makes them underpriced. You order via QR code, sothere is no line to place an order, just to pick up & pay. I usually get the Special Combo w/ everything except half as muchjalapeno as usual because I'm a bit of a wus for spice. Read more

Their sandwiches are so good, you can order online ahead of time and they have a tasty Vietnamese coffee too, good work lunch

Would?ve been 5* except the bread let it down. It is not real bahn mi bread. The fillings were very tasty pickles were good,... great amount of cilantro and jalapeños.
