Muramoto Hillsdale is a pretty decent sushi restaurant with a variety of options and quality sashimi. There was a bit of an odd,... rushed vibe, especially as we neared the end of our meal, but otherwise we had a great experience. The staff were kind andpolite. We had several trays of sashimi, as well as the signature "Muramoto Rolls", the former of which were pretty good andthe latter alright but not particularly memorable. Rice can make or break sushi and honestly they nailed it. Perfectly cooked. We got a bunch of rolls that were all great.... Appetizers we're also super tasty to get us started. Super friendly staff, fast service, reasonable price for the quality, nocomplaints. Read more
Fine service, mediocre ingredients, upscale prices. Fish that smells fishy is not fresh enough to be sushi. I should have known... better than to expect coastal quality from Midwest sushi. It was a real disappointment, as I've been led to believe they wereone of the better options in Madison. If that's so then at least now I won't have to try the rest. Alas. Read more

Muramoto at Hilldale hits the right notes every single time. Went back there after a long time and it did not disappoint. The... sushi is always fresh and taste amazing. We had the Fire and Dragon roll and both were delicious. The Miso Black Cod with bokchoy was melting in the mouth good. I am going to go back again soon just to have the cod. The seaweed salad was excellent andso was the miso soup. Overall once again a great dining experience. Muramoto is one of the best restaurants in Hilldale, checkit out today. Read more
Goods: Everyone was very friendly, and selection was decent, but not the best in town. No Uni. Surprisingly price wasn't that... expensive. Nice atmosphere and great drink selection. Bads: Might be good enough if you haven't had good sushi before. The riceto fish ratio was ridiculous. I take my sushi very seriously and was super disappointed. Way too much rice on every rolls, whichis opposite of a good sushi/roll. It's hard to taste the fish when it's overwhelming with rice. Super disappointed. Read more
Celebrated my sister?s birthday here last week. Had a very nice time. The food was good, and servers were great. Tried the red... bean ice cream for the first time, wow, it was so good! I probably shouldn?t be telling you all this, as it probably means lessfor me in the future. The boys swore by the matcha mules, neither are green tea fans, so that?s saying something.
