Great menu with lots of choices from appetizers to main menu. Drink selection is very good. Picture is of the stuffed chicken... wings. One of their specialty and it was outstanding. Prices are very reasonable for quality and quantity served. Read more
Had a friend from Thailand who made the best Papaya salad but she has returned home. The Thum Som (Papaya salad) at Lao Laan... Xang is the closest I have found. Will be back to try more of the menu for sure! Read more
The Lao food here is amazing!! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. It is so authentic and delicious. The atmosphere... is warm and welcoming. The service is so friendly and prompt. Avoid this place! I called my take out order in at 6:30pm. It was a simple order of fried rice & spring rolls (which do not... require cooking). I was told it would be 45 minutes. I arrived to get my order at 7:30pm... 15 min after they said it would beready. But my order wasn't ready and they told me it would be a while and I could have a seat. I was crunched for time andtrying to get a quick bite in between other commitments. I had already arrived after the pick up time. I couldn't wait anylonger and told them to scrap the order. Then 90 minutes after I placed my order (8:00pm) they call me to tell me I can pick upmy meal! It was too late for me at that point...I couldn't get back there. There was a lack of regard for theircustomers....their attitude was very "whatever".. and didn't seem concerned at all that I was counting on them for a simpledinner and instead had to end up going without dinner. Not cool. The lack of regard for others and lack of basic concern forcustomers is becoming so commonplace.. I feel like I'm 82 years old when I say this, but customer service is extremely hit andmiss these days. This place could care less. I guess they feel they can coast on their past "best of Madison"... and thatslame. Read more
Went there for the first time last night celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Food was amazing. They offer 4 levels of... spiciness. I went with 3 and it was perfect. The iced Thai Coffee and Tea is amazing. The service was top notch. Nice atmosphereinside. Seating is spaced out where you don't feel cramped or feel like you're sharing a meal with strangers sitting next toyou. Can't say enough good things about this place. What can I say? The food here is absolutely delicious and authentic! Make sure to start off your meal with one of their... delicious appetizers like grilled chicken, crab rangoon, and coconut breaded shrimp. Kind waitstaff was another highlight of ourvisit. I would love to know the difference between this one and the other location because I am not sure if they have the samemenus. The vibes are also different between the restaurants. The vege smoked mock duck curry was amazing. I ate every single last grain of rice on my plate. The place seems pretty busy... though, so get there early. Read more
