One of our favorite take out Chinese restaurants in Madison. Everything I have tried has tasted great. We love to mix the hot... and sour soup with the egg drop soup - ohhh so good. The sesame and orange chicken are very similar and both delicious. TheHappy Family has a nice balance of favors and a generous serving. The kitchen is very quick and everyone is friendly. I ordered for lunch. First off the prices on their menu are not what they charge. The dude could not hear through the plexus... glass and got my order wrong. Plus I got sesame chicken and it was drowning in sauce. The pork rolls are frozen also. Read more
Took a shot in the dark and I?m really glad I did. I ordered the Generals Taos Tofu and Spring Rolls. It was late on a mid-week... night and my order was here in record time and it was piping hot. I definitely will try China Wok on the eastside again since ithit the spot tonight. Read more
We have ordered China Wok a few times and we have always felt it?s better than the usual Madison Chinese spots. We ordered... today, 01/21/22, and the food we picked up was not edible. Our shrimp fried rice was mushy and extremely over cooked, but theshrimp was ironically cold and slightly undercooked. Our sweet and sour chicken was raw and wet on the inside, and you couldbarely tell the chicken from the mushy bread dough goo. Overall, we paid almost 30$ for guaranteed indigestion. I sincerelyhope whoever looks at the reviews takes this into account. Food was awful. Read more
We have been coming here for years. We just returned after being gone from Madison for two years and I came by here within two... hours to get our dinner and breakfast tomorrow. If you see my pictures, you will note that they have taken extraordinarymeasures to ensure their health and the health of all of their customers. They?ve installed plexiglass dividers completelyacross the front of the cooking area. Even behind that, all the employees are always wearing masks. They are practicing totallysafe food preparation. My wife and I cannot encourage you enough to get carry out from this restaurant. The quality is superband you are safe picking your food up here. Read more
I like spicy! China Wok is about the only Chinese restaurant in town that will put a decent amount of spice in their food if... you ask for it "extra spicy." Nice quality to the spice, too. Not just hot. Family owned, and fast service for pick up. Read more
