Thank you for the extensive vegetarian options. Banzo is one of the only places my family and I go for takeout and we heartily... recommend the restaurant. Having curbside (pandemic aside) is so disability friendly and helpful to families with young kids whohave difficulty getting in and out of cars for various reasons (the accidental car nap!). I hope all restaurants and businesseskeep this service and recognize it as an important societal need that the pandemic revealed to us. Friendly suggestion: themixed greens garnish always get soggy and are difficult to keep fresh whether you dine in or get to go. In my ideal scenario adiner could choose between or would be offered the choice of: 1. mixed greens 2. herb salad 3. no greens or additional cabbagesalad Options 2 and 3 would be able to be sourced locally much of the time. As is, the heat of the food just melts those tendermixed green leaves. The trend of using mixed greens that so many restaurants use is one I particularly despise. The greens oftendon't get consumed and they end up creating substantial food waste and have a high carbon footprint to begin with. Makingmodifications to technique, serving and sourcing are great ways we can all do our part to reduce food waste and reduce ourcarbon footprints. Delicious, fresh, and flavorful Mediterranean food. Such a nice change of pace from the run-of-the-mill restaurants. We went a... little out of our way passing thru town, but SO glad we did! Banzo Catering is fantastic! The food is always consistently delicious and the service is incredible. We used them to cater our... wedding (for a very reasonable price as well) and all our guests raved about the food and told us it was the best wedding foodthey'd ever have. They are an especially great option for guests with food allergies (especially gluten) or who followvegetarian/vegan diets. You will not be disappointed! Read more
A nice restaurant for Mediterranean food lovers ! Has limited choice but some popular and favorite varieties. The falafel, oh gosh, the falafel is so moist. A crunchy outside led me to expect a dry, crumbly inside, but I was so wrong. And... it is so good. The same goes for the eggplant - crunchy outside and a buttery inside. The variety of sides provided with theplatters make mealtime fun and exciting: a bite of this, a bite of that, a little sauce, repeat. Sweet potato balls were cooked perfectly the first time I ordered from here. I ordered them a second time, but unfortunately... they gave me regular falafel balls instead. The meal had a bit more oil than I would prefer, but all in all it was a tasty meal.Good vegetarian options. Read more
I'm vegan gluten free and was in town for the afternoon. Once I saw the menu here I knew I had to go. I had the Banzo platter... with falafel & tahini, hummus & carrots, rice and salad. Plus I added kalamata olives, I mean, who wouldn't with a platter likethat? I also had the homemade tea. The flavors were amazing! I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again!
