Under new ownership. I hadn't been there in years, so I decided to check it out. Looks the same. Took a long time to get a... drink. The bartender was occupied with the women around the bar who I think got served twice before he was able to pull himselfaway for a minute and grab me a beer. My buddy got a burger and said it was really good. Everyone I've talked to has said thefood is good. The Wheel is an institution for Madison by the Lake and "The Corner". I have been surprised by the lack of peopledown there recently so I wish the new owners the best and hope they can pump some new life into The Wagon Wheel and bring somebusiness back to North Madison. First time in a long time. They have daily specials. Wednesday was buger day. Its was just a plain buger, extra toppings was... extra. The bonless chicken wings was very good, had garlic parmesan on them. We were in about noon. As some of the regularscame in we were kind of forget about. Asked for a few more napkins and the bartender didn't even pay attention. We sat at thebar, I could only imagine if she had to wait on us at a table. Read more

Ordered food. Waited an hour and got up and left. They had one bartender and one cook for the whole place on July 4th. We... watched 2 other big parties leave before us. Not run very well. And for the love of god. Clean the place. Read more

This wasy first time visiting and I was a bit confused by the doors. One says dining room and the other bar. I tried to go into... the dining room but it was locked. When we entered the other door they joked about us figuring out the doors. I broughty 3 yearold and husband with me expecting to have a nice dinner at a restaurant. Turns out it's basically just a bar. Tables were stickyno highchairs and while we were 1 of 2 tables our food took an hour or more to come out. Food was good and staff was friendly. If you are looking to drink and eat bar food in a laid back fashion this could be your go to place. For family dinner maybe not. Read more

The owners are all very sweet people, the bar tenders and cooks are great, the food is amazing. The menu has something for... everyone and there's plenty of games to entertain while you wait, such as air hockey, arcade games, a few pool tables, and rumorhas it that live entertainment is in the works for Saturday evenings. First time in this place. It's more of a bar, but we grabbed some lunch. Rowdy had a Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger and Onion Rings... and I got Bacon Burger. They were both cooked a perfect medium, juicy, thick freshly made burger! The onion rings were goodalthough I'm not sure that they were homemade. The French Fries were OMG good! They were homemade and fresh and crispy, I havenever had a french fry homemade that was that crispy. The facility on the other hand, while clean it was showing its age. Thebarstools were pretty worn and when I sat I kinda moved forward so it was uncomfortable. The bartender was very friendly andmade us some good drinks! There are pool tables and a spot for a band and some dancing and uniquely it is attached to whatappeared to be a store maybe? We will go back, maybe on a band night!! Read more
