Our table had the yaldorf salad and large veggie pizza. It was very good. I?ve had the muffuletta before and it was great. ... The atmosphere was nice and included outdoor seating so possibly pet friendly. Our server was AK, she was terrific. I am a garlic lover; so I always ask for extra roasted garlic anywhere I go. Most places are so stingy with the amount they?ll... put on a pizza, but not Sal&Mookie?s! They exceeded my expectations and I can genuinely say, as someone who has lived in NYbefore. This is the best pizza I have ever tasted in my entire life! Ordered a pizza, Philly cheese steak and Greek salad to go. Service was very friendly and quick. Nice clean, hip decor. 5... stars for all that. The food however, wasn't. The pizza was good with fresh toppings but very floppy. The Greek salad wasn'ta Greek salad but a bland blend of romaine lettuce and a few olives, tomatoes and feta with a dressing that was nowhere nearGreek dressings I've had at other places. The Philly cheesesteak was a disappointment of little fillings, the steak beingthick, large tough cuts of beef rather than thinly shaved tender Ribeye and was served on a plain Italian hogie rather thanPhilly roll. 3 stars for food. We stopped for the fried ravioli and it was good as always. What was surprising was the spinach and artichoke dip, it was... creamy with great garlic flavor lots of artichoke and the spinach appeared to be fresh. It was one of the best I have had. Read more
