Reviews for The Vineyard Restaurant & Bar in Madera, CA
I'll keep this simple. Atmosphere was nice. Waiter was little out there. We asked how are the Raviolis, He had told us, people... have complained about it. Thought that was weird. Sell it to us, not be negative on your entrees.(but thanks for being honestlol) He suggested another entree after being asked. We ordered the shrimp and crab. It was gross and it had tiny, TINY bits ofcrab. You can hardly see it. Keep that in mind. I understand we're in a time where things are a bit tight but change thename!!!! We probably won't be back. We had came because one of our colleagues said he used to come here Years back and it wasgreat! Hope they improve... and train their staff a bit. Cheers Read more
We saw this restaurant on maps and were hungry, so we decided to stop. When we first walked up we thought we were under dressed.... We were in shorts and tank tops. It looks kinda swanky from the outside. We walked in and immediately heard someone singing andplaying the guitar. Some dude rignt inside the door with a tip jar. The music was alright, but where he was set up was awkwardand we didn't want to walk up to the podium to be seated because it felt rude to walk in front of him. We finally did, and wereseated. The place was mostly empty at 5pm. The menu is very small. Not a lot of options. I decided on the meat ravioli, and myhusband got clam chowder. The food was way over priced. I literally had 9 ravioli on my plate, and it cost $18. Salad was extra. It tasted like it had been frozen and reheated in the microwave. It was rubbery and the ends of the pasta felt freezer burned. There was hardly any meat in the ravioli and the sauce was not good. My husband said his clam chowder was more like potatochowder with a couple pieces of clam thrown in. He said it tasted like powdered potato soup mix. The only positive thing aboutthe food was the bread they served for the table. It was actually pretty decent. Our server was nice. He kept our drinksfull. Overall, I was disappointed and we had to fill up on bread because the meal itself was not enough. Our bill came to $52for 2 salads, 2 drinks and 2 entrees. I won't go back. Read more
My husband had ribeye which was amazing. Appetizers were great. Service was amazing. I can not recommend the fillet or... rosemary potatoes. My daughter and I could not eat. potatoes were not cooked all the way through and Rosemary was so heavy youcouldn't stand to eat. The sauce overwhelmed the fillet. I would go back because I have loved other dishes, but won't orderthat again. Read more
Step back into a 1970s fine dining atmosphere. Large selection of traditional American cuisine. Choice grade beef is also nice... when you order the roast beef sandwich. I was very happily impressed. My only gripe was, although it was Friday lunch, ourtypical work lunch took over an hour. The wait staff could move with a bit more ?purpose?. Read more
Excellent service and delicious food. The Tuscan short ribs were tender and extremely flavorful.
The ambiance is beautiful, the food is a Michelin 5 star and service is spot on. Have been coming here on and off for over 15... years, always great food. The wedge cut salad with house made ranch is THE best I've had...and I eat out a lot. I also cookgreat Italian food myself, so I'm very picky. The chicken Carbonara was mouth watering delicious. They have truly have amazingCooks there. They also make there own bread which is wonderful as well. Read more
Great cocktails and wine selection. Cabanara was a bit salty for my taste. The calamari was excellent! Would go back again
