WOW! What a weekend. We booked the Woodland Courtyard and Ballroom for our fall wedding. From start to finish Aimee, our wedding... coordinator, made the whole process so easy and stress-free. The venue, food, staff and hospitality exceeded ours and our guestsexpectations! We could go on and on about how amazing our day was thanks to Bear Creek. We had so much fun and wish we couldrelive the day over and over. We can?t wait to come back for our anniversaries every year and enjoy all that Bear Creek has tooffer. We spent the weekend at Bear Creek for a wedding. Our suite was well appointed with two queen size beds, a sofa and was clean... and comfortable. It was nice that we had a microwave and refrigerator as well as the pod coffee maker by the sink in the diningarea of the suite. The Friday night we went to dinner in their Trails End Cafe and it was god-awful. We just tossed the food andwent to the local Diner. The wedding was beautiful, the ceremony outside in the courtyard in the clean crisp October air . Thecocktail hour directly after the ceremony was held in the courtyard lobby. Several servers came around with trays of horsd'oeuvres. While some of the guests seem to enjoy them , others obviously did not. The drinks at the open bar were generouslypoured. The DJ was contracted outside of the venue so I really can't say anything about them except they were quite boring butobviously not the venue's fault. The meal served a fish option which we did not try, a chicken dish or beef. My chicken wasrubbery and the vegetable accompaniment were a bit overdone. My wife's beef was so rare and would have been palatable if it waswarm but it was ice cold. Ice Cold raw meat isn't too appetizing. We sent it back for a little more cooking and it came back wayoverdone and dry as It was obviously only microwaved . The next morning we went to the breakfast buffet that was hosted by thebride n groom. Just basic eggs, bacon, potato's bagels n cream cheese n jelly. Eggs were so salty as to be totallyunenjoyable, bagels were just defrosted mushy frozen bagels which would have been fine if all they did was warm them up a bit.Bacon and potatoes were fine. So all in all the venue was beautiful but the food was lacking in both imagination and quality.The staff was exceptional. I would definitely come back to this resort as a guest but would plan my meals outside. Read more
The suites were ideal in hosting our kids' wedding parties. Check-ins were smooth. Atmosphere was excellent for our group meals... of dinner and brunch. Venue was over the top beautiful! All of the staff were kind and courteous. Shout out to Aimee for makingthe day perfect! Thank you. Read more
We had the best wedding at Bear Creek all thanks to Lacey and the rest of the staff. When we originally booked our date we were... working with another coordinator, but she retired about a year after. Lacey then took over. Cue our (my) nerves. However, Ididn?t need to have a single worry. Lacey made the transition seamless. She answered ALL of my emails and checked through everysingle detail. The day of the wedding, the weather continued to say overcast, even though it was drizzling. Lacey helped uschange our ceremony sight at the last second, as the heavens opened right before everything started. The staff was extremelyattentive to us and our parents and if there were any issues, we never knew about them. Thank you for making our dream weddinghappen! Read more
We had our wedding at the Lodge at Bear Creek! From our initial tour of the resort, we knew that the Bear Creek Staff was going... to be fantastic to work with. Aimee was our coordinator, and she made the planning process extremely easy. The Lodge Ballroom isabsolutely gorgeous, and the Bear Creek staff did a fantastic job decorating and executing our vision! All of the staff wereextremely helpful and professional. Not only were the wedding ceremony and reception amazing, but staying at the resort allweekend with our guests made the experience extra special. Everyone loved the beautiful grounds and took time to enjoy theoutdoor activities they have on site! We had our perfect wedding weekend at Bear Creek, and it will be a weekend to rememberforever! ???? We decided to stay at this Resort because we wanted to do all the activities. Segway tours, spa, axe throwing. Something... different for our anniversary. We get here exactly at the check in time. They won't let us schedule any activities and they areclosing all activities tomorrow. The employee tried to call the manager to try and help get them to do at least somethingtomorrow he said the manager said absolutely not. This is the room. This is not a $400/night room. Without activities thishotel is a zero. We talked to the front desk. Told them we literally paid this crazy night price so we could do all theactivities and the front desk said let me talk to my manager. The manager didn't even come out of the office and just sent theemployee to say the best they could offer us was a $50 gift card to their restaurant. My mind is blown. What a terribleexperience all around. 0/10 The management here is terrible and does not care at all. Better be the best $50 meal of my life???????????? *****Update the restaurant and staff are phenomenal. If possible they have saved our stay. They gave us our entiremeal for free and complimentary champagne for our anniversary. They kept apologizing for the main hotel staff and what happened.We won't be back but they definitely made it better. Read more
Absolutely love this place! The front desk and workers go above and beyond to make everyone's experiences as best as they can!... The resort has lots to offer such as the gift shop,indoor and outdoor pool,peddle boats,kayaks,etc! We first went to the resort2 years ago and we have been returning every since! Each time the resort gives more and more surprises for us! One of our lastvisits we had gone to the mile long slip and slides and had a blast! The rooms are spacey and very nice! Room service people areincredible! Over this summer we are planning to head back here again! See you soon bear creek! And thank you staff for alwaysmaking our stays the absolute best ? ???? Was there for dinner with my wife. She ordered a martini and I a beer. Both drinks brought out were not correct. I ordered a... medium done hanger steak. What I got was a well done steak that was barely warm, bordering on cold. Hopefully it was a bad dayfor them and not the beginning of a trend. Read more
