i have been here several times and the food has been consistently amazing each time! my go-to burger is the smoky apple-ation... but you can?t go wrong with any of the choices. burgers are always cooked perfectly and the fires are great too, especially thebleu buffalo and sweet potato fries. they also have maine root cane sugar sodas here (my favorite is the blueberry). if you?reever in town, ocmulgee is an awesome choice for a burger! Seriously the best burger I've had in a really long time. I got the burger with gouda cheese and an onion ring, and it was... juicy, tasty, and a multi-napkin-requirer. The tater tots were perfect. My companion got the grilled chicken sandwich and fries,with the beer mustard dip, and he scarfed it all. Taking off one star for the counter service. We toured Mercer University & decided to check out downtown Macon & grab lunch right after. We?re glad we chose Ocmulgee... Brewpub! My daughter had the ?river creature? sandwich and said it was delicious. I had a beer (IPA) that was refreshing andstrong & fried green tomatoes with their jalapeño ranch that was pretty good. If she chooses Mercer, I?m sure we?ll visit thisplace again! Read more
This wasn't our first time here. We are repeat customers for sure. Excellent burgers and the cheese curds are very good too. ... Nice selection of unique sodas to choose from. We got here today right before the crowd hit at lunch and everything came outhot and delicious. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I can't review any of the beers myself because I haven't consumedany, but they seem to be popular. Read more
Not sure if we caught them on a bad night, or if their struggles are a regular occurrence. They were out of several sides (or in... some cases, key ingredients of some sides such that they couldn't be prepared normally) but that wasn't apparent until afterwaiting over 20 minutes in line to order food leading to frustration and hurried alternative selection. I ordered the SmokeyAppleation burger - it was a good burger (served with a mountain of tater tots) but far from spectacular. I went to get more BBQsauce at the counter, and was told "We don't have BBQ sauce". After clarifying that I had just received a burger with BBQ sauceon it, I was then told "oh, well we ran out". That same attitude was apparent in most of the staff - not a particularly warmbunch of folks. Could have just been unfortunate timing on a busy night, but definitely a less than stellar experience. I haven?t found a burger at this place I don?t like. Favorite so far has been the King of The Hunt!!!Highly highly recommend... them! Quick service & friendly staff. Drinks are good and pricing is nice! Definitely a favorite and regular choice for dinner. Read more
