This place is in a quaint little area and a hidden gem in Bolingbroke. The food was delicious and didn?t disappoint but the... strawberry basil martini was the highlight for me! We will be going back to try additional items on the menu. Read more

Very solid first experience. A little hidden way in Macon but lovely area. Went with the family and sat on the porch and it was... a lovely night. Our server Pete was excellent and gave us great options. The cornbread was excellent. Also enjoyed the ThaiChili Wings they were smoked well and flavorful. Got the chef's special which was rainbow trout in a creole sauce. Wasoutstanding. Everything was fresh and solid. Worth the price and high quality in everything you'll taste. Highly recommend thisplace. Read more

I wanted to take the time to make this review as descriptive as possible so you the reader could hopefully walk this EXEMPLRY... dining experience with me. After working on and off in the food service industry for 30 years FoH and BoH, I decided to actuallybecome a foodie, since then I have been an active foodie all up and down the east coast and in the mid-west for the last 20 plusyears. The size of my rear will tell you all those great experience foodie stories. When I am at a place of this caliber for thefirst time I make considerations for cleanliness, service/customer service, quality of food (preparation and ingredients offood), knowledge of food and beverages being offered and presentation. I went inside somewhat dubious (from past experience atother places) but was immediately pleasantly surprised by the light and well-chosen decor. The easy jazz gently pouring out ofthe speakers gave me hope for an amazing foodie experience. Aesthetically we were 3 for 3 my heartstrings were puffing up, wootwoot. After confirming I could in fact eat at the bar, that is where I sat. Chelsea is their expert mixologist started me withan old fashioned made with a rye whisky after she asked me if I wanted whisky or more of a rye whisky. The bar was fully stockedwith proper garden and mostly higher tier liquors. Chelsea then went on to tell me about this evenings specials the first in thelineup was a French inspired shrimp and grits with fried shallots on parmesan encrusted grits. She didn't even finish, I wassold, this was my appetizer. It arrived and I have to say each bite was even better then the previous bite. The grits werecooked to perfection as was the shrimp and the fusion of Parisian and southern americana flavors was divine inspired. I am noteven being dramatic, divine inspired! At this point I ordered the strawberry, basil Tito's martini. It was light and refreshingand the flavor blend was delicious. Neither the fruit or alcohol were overpowering but paired Read more

Overall an ok experience. My son ordered a bacon cheeseburger however did not eat it due to what appeared to be mushrooms in... it. The waiter took the burger to the back plate and all and came back to tell us that it was onions but we was still chargedfor the meal and he never even got to finish his fries. My shrimp and grits was good but overall left a little upset for havingto pay for a meal that was taken back to the kitchen and not replaced. Most likely will not be going back again. Read more

Dined here late in the evening. The staff and service was extremely polite and spot on even though we were there shortly before... closing time. The cornbread and food was delicious and all at reasonable prices. It would be nice if they did offer pitchers ofbeer. Read more

Dinner has been fairly good the last few times. Brunch today was not so good. Country ham used in the eggs benedict was just too... salty, tough and inedible. Coffee was strong with no option for low calorie sweetener. Wife said her French toast was good sothat's a plus. Service was just okay. Server did not offer beverage refills. Probably would not try brunch again. Read more

Shrimp and grits, as described on the menu: 'Blanche Farms Tasso Ham gravy, onions, peppers, garlic, and smoked cheddar... grits.' The cheddar grits had excellent texture and flavor and the ham gravy was great! Unfortunately the shrimp was overcookedand the small bits of sausage were quite chewy. The coffee was below average quality. All together, it didn't make me want tocome back to try other things on the brunch menu. The table next to me seemed quite pleased with their quiche. Read more
