We were riding and did a search for a Good Soul Food Restaurant. This restaurant came up so we thought we were in for a treat! ... We were Tricked instead. ? The service and appearance was nice and inviting. However, the food was awful. We paid $40 forsomething we literally threw away. The macaroni and cheese was the worst I have ever tasted. It was spoiled! If you don?t knowhow to make macaroni and cheese in a Soul Food Restaurant you don?t need a restaurant! It was that bad! Ma Dukes need to lookat some tutorials on how to cook macaroni and cheese cheese. Also, most of the veggies were smothered with PORK! Read more

The crispy turkey wings were good. They offer a variety of meats that come with two sides. All of the food looked delicious.... Couldn't try everything though. Macaroni and cheese, dressing with a side of collard greens. The restaurant offers dine in andtake out. It's a little warm but once you start eating you'll forget about the heat. The server was a nice lady. She did herbest with the crowd. She prepared each plate with a smile. Everything will be done to make you happy, full and wanting toreturn. Read more

I wanted to remain neutral & wish I could have provided you with 2.5 stars but unfortunately, decided on 2 stars. Ma Dukes,... please use whatever is written on this platform to help grow your business. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. How are you to resolve existing issues if no one ever brings them to the forefront. Everything is not for everyone & ifsomeone has a bad experience, for whatever reason, they have a right to express that. You have to remember, not only is freespeech a right, these people actually paid you for the product that they are actually critiquing. Ma Dukes, I wish you well with your future endeavors & really hope to see you grow your business in the future. While I have never eaten at yourestablishment, I do know that people often research this platform when looking for new places to eat, me being one of thosepeople. Please humbly accept the positive & negative to help make your business a successful one going forward. As an owner, always remain humble & kind & realize that there are a thousand different scenarios that can cause an establishment to not be asgood as they usually are the other 6 days of the week. Hey, it happens simply b/c no one or nothing is perfect but when it doeshappen, you just have to own it & try to make it right. You shouldn't get mad at someone for not liking a product that failedto meet their specifications, especially when they spent their hard earned money for that product. There are a lot of places toeat & the attitude of personnel/owners greatly contribute to how people remember you & your place of business. Read more

Opens at 11. Got there at 11:10 and they were not opened. This is the 2nd time I tried to eat there. The first time I called to... get menu and was told they were running behind and would open at 1. On the day I finally got in the door they only had 3 meats,2 veggies and rice ready. I chose the turkey wing with lima beans and sweet potatoes. The food was delicious but not worth whatwe paid for it. We could have gone to Ole Times for the same price and had a much bigger selection. Must say we got service witha smile. Maybe someday we will return. Read more

We ordered two oxtail meals with collard greens, lima beans and white rice. My husband had Salisbury steak, macaroni and cheese... and lima beans. Both meals were served with corn bread. The oxtails were greasy, not seasoned well, an inch from being fullytender and had a hard crust from being braised prior to stewing. The meat was placed over a bed of unsalted white rice, whichsoaked up all the grease and created an unpleasant profile on the palate. The collard greens were tender, slightly over-saltedand seasoned with pig's feet. The lima beans were also tender and well seasoned. However, they had an overwhelming acidicaftertaste. The corn bread had the texture of a buttermilk pancake. It was fluffy, thick and had traces of corn meal. One ofthe breads was burnt on one side, which impacted the taste. The macaroni and cheese was made well and seasoned. The pastawasn't overcooked and each bite had a spoonful of sharp cheddar cheese. Prior to visiting, I checked out their profile on Googlemaps. ****The menu listed is out-of-date as well as their prices. **** There's currently no updated menu and price listdisplayed. My oxtail meals were priced at $25 each (approximately $15.00 more than what was expected) and the third meal was$10.99. The oxtail meals weren't worth the price for either quality or quantity. ****RESPONSE TO MA DUKES**** Thank you foryour blessings and for being a responsive business owner. Please be advised that the purpose of my review was to inform and hadno malicious intent. Rather, it was an opportunity for me (first-time customer) to provide an objective and unbiased opinionabout my experience at your restaurant. Contrary to your belief, a business generally has one opportunity to make an impression(good or bad). The era of "speaking to the owner" is a pastime replaced with various social media platforms. The immediatesharing of information on a massive level, in a short amount of time is most preferred in this age. That bei Read more
