Went into the establishment. It was very empty. Not much on the menu. We should have went to finchers instead. The sauce was... gross. You can not taste the meat. There was no seasoning on anything. It was very blah. The best part of the meal was the cokethat was the only thing that had flavor. As one of Macon?s food critics this place is a 2/10 never again. Read more
Very good. A Macon landmark restaurant. The restaurant was clean. Bathrooms clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Not a huge... selection on the menu, but they do an exceptional job on the items they specialize in: Pulled Pork, Chicken and Ribs. Delicious!! Read more
Really good smoked chicken. The Barbeque sauce was very thin without much flavor. Coleslaw was fresh and good but they had very... few options for sides and no kids menu. The bread that comes with the chicken plate is literally 2 slices of Wonder bread. Thebaked beans were good but tiny portion. Read more
The restaurant is located in a pretty unassuming place. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. I am not a fan of beans or... slaw so i would not be the best judge. Read more
Went in to grab a couple of chopped BBQ sandwiches for they road and a sweet tea. Sandwiches were good and the tea refreshing.... Not busy the day we were in there. Outdoor dining for those that are COVID cautious. Also, drive through in side of building. I'll have to go back when I have time to order a proper meal and sit down to enjoy. Read more
Somewhat disappointing. Coleslaw was very finely diced. So was the brunswick stew was almost pureed, may have been able to drink... it through a straw. It was very flavorful though. BBQ sauce was very thin. I should have noticed the small spout on thecontainer. Soaked right through the bread. Pork was chopped very fine. This is a great place if you have no teeth. Ribs and chicken were good. Baked beans weren't straight from the can, they had some added ingredients like chopped onion.... Brunswick stew was fresh and hot when I received it, it also was really good. Not too thick, not too thin of a stew. The servicewas extremely quick. So I had never been to this place before I let the cashier know that. The BBQ sandwiches were pretty good but the attitudes and... atmosphere was negative. A man with not so clean clothes was behind me trying to order and the cashier is looking at him withsheer disgust. Then, he roars his total at the man. (Without saying anything else) I went back up to the counter to purchaseadditional food and there are 3-4 ppl behind the counter just staring. Not one smile. When I walked up To counter the malecashier stated they would help me at other end. Well as I am standing there no one comes up to help. I understand we have jobsand no one is happy all the time. But we have to do better. I didn?t order any more food because the whole set up isunwelcoming. When people that looked different than me went up to the counter there was positive energy. When the man withunclean clothing went up immediately there was a shift. I will not patronize a place that does not treat everyone equally. Irarely ever write reviews. This needed to be addressed..
