Hubby and I finally got a chance to try out this locally owned restaurant and indeed it was YUMMY!!! We both got the ribeye... sandwich it was very tasty! the menu had a wonderful variety that we had a hard time deciding what to get. The service was warmand friendly by the owner and her staff and the place was super clean!!! It will be the first of MANY visits for us - can'twait to go back!!! Read more

We enjoyed a very good shrimp platter and shrimp/catfish platter tonight. Been here before and always very clean and polite... staff. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend giving them a try. Read more

Ordered online for pickup and our food was just being bagged up when we got there. Perfect timing. Everything was hot when we... got back. The man working there, who I assume is the owner, was friendly to me. My girlfriend ordered the chicken tender mealwith fries and I got the shrimp, chicken, and beef fried rice. She said the tenders were good and seasoned well. The fried ricewas pretty solid. It was especially good with the house sauce. Couldn't finish it all, but it reheated well for lunch the nextday. The inside of the restaurant wasn't the nicest, but it wasn't bad either. Good spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Read more

I just had their fried shrimp basket. There were LOTS of deliciously fried shrimp in a light non-greasy batter. Large baked... potato. I am a thought their coleslaw was one of the bestvI have eaten. It is also very clean and I enjoyed my experience. Read more

The food is good, a little pricey but good food. The service is terrible, every time I have went only one person there. I... tried to do a call in order was told to order online, there is a convenience fee to order online. When I got there I saw a bagsitting there, that was my order. The one man working was in the back cooking. When I got my food it was cold. Will have tothink before I go back. If you have a set lunch break, go someplace else! Read more

Passing through town and searching the phone for a place to grab some lunch and ended up at City Cafe. Right in the throws of... covid when no one wants to work. There were only two people working, a cook and a cashier but it was a great lunch, so it tooka little longer, so what. We had the chicken fried rice and a philly cheesesteak, and not bad. Clean space, clean restroomsand locals dining there, never a bad sign. Definitely stop in next time through. Give ?em a try. RTR Read more

We got 2 fish plates and husband also wanted 6 shrimp. She charged us $38.99. I suggested that she ring it up as platter shown... in pic on menu and it would be plenty for both of us-- platter has various fish, shrimp.... She did not understand my request,so I just let it go. $40 for 2 lunches is pricy. We could have went to a nicer restaurant for that amount. Fish was very good. Read more

This rating is strictly related to what happened at lunch today. My experience may or may not have been the cafe?s fault. I... was missing some of my order. I complained about it and the cashier, who said his name is ?Jeff?, was not helpful at all. Hewas having problems with the credit card machine, so his day was already bad. I went online and used their app so that I couldreorder the missing item and waited roughly 20 minutes for it while my sandwich got cold at home. Waitr ended up refunding myorder, so they helped my out. Where I really had an issue was with the next person in line. She did an order over the phone andrequested a specific substitute on her order. She said that the order taker said nothing about not allowing substitutes andjust took her order. She drove to the cafe to pick up the order. Of course she was not happy about the situation and pushed toget her order like she ordered it. He wasn?t having it and refused to take her order again. Three people that came in ended upleaving. I recommended to Jeff that he could solve the issue by taking her order, but he kept refusing. He also kept puttingwords in her mouth stating that she said something in the restaurant that she did not say. I left after I finally got my order. Jeff needs some interpersonal skills training to deescalate these types of scenarios. She also deserves an apology for how shewas treated. The others that came in and left deserve an apology. I love the food at this place and will probably be backbecause I don?t think this would have happened if the other kind woman was there. Service has been excellent in the past. Iwill think twice about it though. Read more
