I love that I live near Katsu Burger now! I used to live down south and the closest one was in SoDo, now I?m just a five minute... drive away! Definitely a little on the spendy side, but that seems to be the case everywhere now. This was a fun and interesting place to try. I'm just not sure it's something I would personally continue to go back to. I... thought the meals add up really fast to where it might not be worth it to me. Although the portions were plenty big. In myopinion I would like an option for half the fries and not pay close to $5 for a side. I thought the sauce on the burgers werenot used enough which was another disappointment. Read more
I love Katsu Burger but they are STINGY with their sauce portion. I asked for extra sauce and the container was maybe 25% full... and thats being generous. Their curry fries are so dusty they need to learn fry to sauce ratios. Read more
It?s a deep fried burger, or pork cutlet, or chicken filet. For what it is, it?s good. Definitely worth a try at least once. The... fries are crisp! Even if you get them to go, they will be crisp when you get them home or wherever! That?s rare. Love the fries!? The pork Katsu bites were just like Katsu I?ve had in Japan, except a bit dry. ? The Jalapeños on the burger we?re sadlypickled :( I prefer fresh. And worse they don?t check for stems before loading the jalapeños on your burger. So good I brought my boyfriend yesterday, and had to bring my husband today! The burgers are HUGE and amazingly juicy and... tender. Get the nori fries, OMG so yummy. The croquettes are AMAZING. I was not really impressed by the Banzai Bites thoughyou get a big portion, but they weren't really that tasty and required sauce. The bathroom was clean. Read more
Wow! Must try! Huge Deep Fried Burger. Loved the Ninja Deluxe (I switch out the pork for beef). My friend got the Samurai Select... and loves it. Meh. 3 stars for the novelty of a panko-fried burger. Everyone here in Reviewland seemed to be raving about the pork, and so did... the girl taking orders, but the pork paddy was so bone-dry and gnarly I had to ask for a to-go container after 3 bites. It waslike gnawing on an old man's knee. Determined to like this burger experience, I then ordered the beef. I take my burgers veryseriously and really wanted to walk away satisfied at the very least. Ideally, thrilled. In a perfect world, spending months inmy kitchen trying to recreate the joy of it all. Just to get closure on the pork part of the experience, I'll say, the smell ofthe leftover pork burger in my car will probably inspire me to throw it away. Was going to use the meat for an omelet orsomething but ???????? Wierdly unpleasant and... just ick. The beef burger was juicier, but on the whole, that burger kindareminded me of a crispy-fried dysfunctional family. Way too many discordant personalities screaming for attention between thewalls of what I can only describe as an unmemorable, trailer park bun. Shredded cabbage and burger could be happy together, evenwith pickles and whatever else was in there, but the cabbage is going to need a little makeover or something - ANYTHING - tomake it a part of that family (therapy?) Otherwise it's just a mouthful of dry, hairy noise bitterly (literally) trying to bespecial amidst a mess of what I would call confused multicultural theatrical disorder, vying for center stage. Sadly, this willbe a one-time only kinda burger experience for me. The burgers I live for keep me awake at night, dreaming about a secondencounter.
