If you order to go, seriously check what?s in the box before leaving. Last time I ordered krémes the box was taped up when I... picked it up. I paid full price but what I got was odds and ends. I figured it was a mistake. This time I ordered 3 krémes andsome apple strudel. The owner even opened the box and verified the amount of pastries with me before handing me the boxes. WhenI opened the boxes at home, one of the krémes was literally cut in half and placed in with the others. WTAF?! You can?t be thatdesperate! Read more

Interesting place to try some homemade dishes. Mostly Hungarian plus some German vibe. Food is tasty, awesome beef goulash. I... would skip pickled salads though - not to my taste, though I usually like this type of salads. Ladys are very friendly and theyhave excellent deserts - fresh and unique. Read more

Simply Exemplary. It was a delightful taste of Hungary. The goulash was great as expected and the stuffed cabbage was sooo... savory. The staff are top tier. Very kind and accommodating. A friend was on a religious fast and had to eat vegan which is atough order for the rich and meaty Hungarian kitchen. The cook was able to fix up something simple that was still delicious. Read more

Previously If the goal for... a restaurant is to not let customer still be hungry when they leave, Budapest bistro certainly failed. We have visited here for2 times. First time: it says open online, but actually closed Second time: we called to make sure it is open. However, when wegot there at 7pm, the waitress (without wearing mask) already said they don?t have any food left. ???? That?s the first time Iheard a restaurant doesn?t have food. Would I try again? Yes definitely. Cus I want to see how many times it takes to get mefinally able to eat anything here. Never give up. Depends on how the food tastes, I might change the rating. To be continued? Total hidden gem! As soon as I went in, I felt like I walked into an European home ???? what hospitable service and absolutely... delicious 100% homemade food. Drinks were amazing. Because the drinks and food were so good, also had to try dessert. Probablymy new favorite place in the area. Read more
