Reviews for Nami Asian Bistro in Lynden, WA
Excellent service and delicious food ???? 10 stars also big portions
Amazing food! Friendly staff, too! I got the Chicken Teriyaki Bento and Nigiri Unagi. My fiance got the Chicken Katsu plate, and... that was very delicious as well! Everything in the bento was very delicious, and tasted of a higher quality than most placesthat I've been to. The chicken itself was tasty and soft, even after I had finished everything and had one smaller piece ofchicken left, it was still a nice texture and flavor. The tempura was lightly battered and crispy. It paired well with thetempura sauce they give you. The Tempura mix was two shrimp, two onions, one zucchini, one mushroom and one large slice ofcarrot. The 6piece California Roll was the best California Roll I've had, and it makes me want to try the rest of theirmenu! The Nigiri Unagi itself was also very delicious. Melt in the mouth type of goodness! The owner was the one making thesushi, and everything was great! I heard a customer sitting behind me say he never thought he'd like sushi, but one day he triedit and now he's in love with it! He said he had been there for 2 hours just eating their sushi because it was so good lol nowthat should tell you a bit about this place :) If you're thinking eating maybe here or somewhere else, choose here! Had decent sushi and food for being in Lynden and the prices are decent as well. The reason it gets 2 stars is because the... owners straight up lied to me. I walked in at 8:25 no one greeted me or helped me. I grabbed a menu and asked for a simple mealto go. They said sorry we close at 8:30... I walked outside and read there signs. Closing time 9... super disappointed andwill never be going back here again. Read more
My first visit really blew me away! I've eaten at a lot of Japanese restaurants and Nami really made a stellar first... impression. Their teriyaki is delicious, with the best teriyaki sauce I've ever tasted. However, getting it spicy activelydetracts from that quality. It's still good but definitely not worth the $2 upcharge! The sushi is good, we tried the avocadoroll and it's very good, as well as generously portioned. The same can be said of the dinner bentos, also very generouslysized. Beer of the Japanese variety, as well as sake and I believe wine, are available to drink alongside sodas and the like.Sapporo, as always, goes great with teriyaki. Overall I give the place a score between 8.5-9, depending on your own preference, weighted toward a 9/10. Very good, will absolutely come back. Read more

Good service and delicious sushi! I'm a huge fan of fried sushi and salmon and they absolutely nailed it here.
It?s a nice and clean looking dining area with friendly staff. Regarding the sushi we shared 3 rolls. Bellingham roll, baked... salmon roll, and caterpillar roll. The presentation of the rolls were very nice but they lack flavor especially the salmonbecause it?s farmed. And I did not like way too much spicy mayo sauce drizzled over over the rolls. And I felt the rolls wereover priced because in Vancouver or Surrey we get much tastier sushi for about half the price. See my other reviews for thefive-star sushi restaurants in the lower mainland.
