Good hibachi and sushi. Hibachi is not murdered with cooking oil and soy sauce. Has an excellent tenderness to it. Also enjoy... the more mustardy yum-yum. If you like healthy made hibachi and sushi this is the place in Lynchburg for you! Read more

Chicken had little flavor. They managed to remove all flavor from the vegetable, which were also not cooked well enough. Would... not recommend. Read more

First order : American Dream is great sushi and I thought it looked too small for me. I ate them. It turned out being enough for... me. I felt full. It was high quality food I have never seen before. Second order : Chicken Hibachi and Spicy roll combo. Achicken hibachi was real good. I will absolutely order it again next time. I look forward to eat a spicy roll combo asdinner. Yamato chain restaurants are always good. Read more

WOOO! Yamato is within spitting distance of Osaka, a super popular spot among the college kids of LYH. But let me start off by... saying the personnel and staff at Yamato are MUCH friendlier than at Osaka and the prices are all about a dollar and a halfcheaper. With your college ID you can get 10% off your meal or a free drink. Take out is an option as well. Additionally, there's more variety in good entres other than the staple, hibachi chicken. The Gyoza is a must try which you can buy inquantities up to 60 pieces. Ha! And I'd say the hibachi meals just taste less "unhealthy" than at Osaka. The chicken is ofhigher quality and was less fatty, not charred on the edges and not drenched in sauce. The yum yum sauce at Osaka is better inmy opinion, but the rice at Yamato is not as dry. Give it a shot! If anything just to try to Gyoza and for a free drink ifyou're in school. Read more
