Service: 7/10 The host was nice and seated me at the bar quickly. The waitress was nice too. Although a couple who arrived 15... min AFTER I did got their food first. Not sure why Cleanliness: 10/10 Very clean and sanitary. Smelled good too Staff:7/10 Very nice, polite and professional except for getting my food after people who had come in after me. Atmosphere: 9/10 Verynice decor, restrooms are nice, all clean. Busy: 10/10 I came here after camping, and it was the day college students aremoving into their dorms so it was packed and there was a 30 or 40 min wait unless you sat at the bar like I did, in which case Ihad no wait. So this place is awesome, clean, and delicious. It wasn?t crowded at all when I arrived and was seated immediately. The waiter... was quick and concise. This was our first time eating at Duke's Diner and it definitely did not disappoint! Several people suggested it to us as we are... visiting so we had to give it a try! Wonderful atmosphere, kind and attentive staff as well! (Even the servers working othertables were talktative and sweet!) The poutine was so delicious we barely left room for our actual meals! Found My Dog Duke's Diner while on our travels and it is the perfect gem of a restaurant! The atmosphere is so inviting and... welcoming. You feel right at home as soon as you walk up to the building. The staff is very friendly and treat you like family.From the second you are greeted to the moment you leave you are treated with kindness by all of the staff. The food isabsolutely delicious. My husband ordered eggs, sausage, grits and a side of ham. I ordered the vegetarian skillet which was veryflavorful and filling. The coffee was spot on perfect and they keep your mug full. Great place to dine in downtown Lynchburg VA!! I like the small cafe atmosphere of the restaurant. Our server and other staff... were wonderful..extremely pleasant, attentive. The food was delicious! Large enough portions to satisfy and very tasty. Theappearance of the restaurant is appealing, prime location. Beautiful decor, spacious enough to be comfortable. Pricing isaverage, reasonable in my opinion. One thing I absolutely love about Duke's and several other places I have eaten is the niceheavy silverware. This is one of the best places to eat in Lynchburg! Hands down! Do not be put off by the wait, as it can range from 20 minutes... to over an hour. The food is worth it.the special of the day was blackberry cheesecake crumble waffle. My Dog Duke's Dinershould be at the top of your list for breakfast or brunch. Be warned, they close at 2-PM.
