Reviews for Monte Carlo Restaurant in Lynchburg, VA
Service was very good, however the food was mediocre. The restaurant itself is tired and a bit worn, something I can overlook... if there's great food. Chicken Parm was the thinnest cut of chicken I've ever had for this particular meal and the breading hadan over powering oil taste to it. I've had better from Olive Garden (which I'm not a fan of at all). Maybe getting the pizzawould have been a better option. Read more

Whenever I step into Monte Carlo, I feel as though I've stepped back in time .. back to the Old World Europe. Filippo and his... family have always made us feel like family and he actually would create my husband's special request with ease. As fellowbusiness owners, we would often refer our lodging guests to MC and they'd be pleased as well. Thank you, Filippo, for providinga great atmosphere with great food???? Read more
I have been coming here for years to get mainly pizza, but just about anything is delicious. Especially their salads! The wait... staff are very nice and attentive, they truly make your visit exceptional. I will say, years (3-4) they had employee who REALLYknew how to make a pizza and it was the best I've had, then they fired him and the owner started making and saw a noticeabledecline. Why/how? He stopped using as much $ on each pizza. The cheese was almost non-existent even with extra cheese. Thosewere the dark times and I stopped going there for about a year (why deal with that when little Cesar's is $5 cheaper andessentially was the same thing at that point) but they got their act together and are once again making delicious pizza andoverall food (2019-2021) UPDATE 2022: The owner has gone back to using very little cheese, I'm sure in an attempt to keep pricethe same and maintain profit. But when I pay for extra cheese, I expect my pizza to ATLEAST be covered. Photo is what extracheese looks like. I will concede that yes, if it wasn't bunched up it MAY atlwast cover the pizza... But come on. Read more
What a hidden gem! The waitstaff was wonderful and the food was amazing. I wish I took a picture of the pile of garlic knots... that we had before the meal... Baked to perfection! We had a party of nine and nobody had a bad meal. The gnocchi and tortelliniwere delicious in a nice bolognais sauce. The pizza was delicious and the lasagna was great. I've not had such tender meatballssince the ones my Italian grandmother used to make for me. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Read more

Wait staff are friendly, courteous and attentive.
