Food was great, but service was slow and the three young women behind the counter were more interested in talking to one another... than paying attention to customers. We visited for the first time Sunday August 28. We enjoyed the variety of foods they offered and it was hard to pick one because... all of it sounded delicious. I was excited to try the Curry Chicken sandwich on pumpernickel with a side of potatoe salad andlemon cake. The bread tasted fresh and the chicken was very moist and flavorful. I enjoyed the potato salad as well. The lemoncake wasn't my type of cake and was kind of dry. Overall, the food was good but the service was absolutely awful. I liked thefood but the atmosphere that the two young ladies at the front put off was unacceptable. Not only were they rude and acted likewe were bugging them to place a order and then get a container to take our food when leaving, they continued to watch us theentire time we ate and everytime we would looked up from eating they would go to whispering in the corner and to the gentlemanin the back then look back at us cackling. This is the 3rd negative experience I?ve had with Magnolia (out of the last 3 trips there) and I?ve been a patron for years. I... bought this meatloaf this afternoon opened it to warm for dinner tonight and it is covered in mold. I?ve called 11xs and no onehas answered the phone. I am never going here again. What a waste. My husband and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. We looked at the website & I was excited to try the beignets and... quiche but found out when we got there that they are not offering the full menu at this time, no beignets. I was a littledisappointed that the quiche isn't made fresh each day but is made the day before and reheated to order. Overall, the food wasgood and service was great. I liked the pasta salad and loved the atmosphere. It's worth a try if you want something differentfrom our typical dine in spots in the area. Read more
