Reviews for Iron & Ale Lynchburg Tap and Table in Lynchburg, VA
Nice place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Our server Hannah was awesome. Food was very good. I ordered a 12$ IPA... that I drink often elsewhere that was clearly past its prime. I had to choke it down. Other than the one bad beer, everythingelse was awesome. Read more
Had a great experience here. It?s my first time here and I?m impressed with their size and capacity. They have a huge menu as... well. So many selections especially with the brunch options on weekends. I had the lemon French toast and the Graham crackercrunch on it is very delight. It does get a little heavy towards the end but I still think it?s better than a plain, boringFrench toast. The burger my partner ordered was also great and it?s one of the few restaurants we?ve been to that actuallycompletely his ?raw? order. The quinoa salad side is also very nice. Unfortunately the risotto side was so salty. It?s a shamebecause everything else about that dish was right on point. Our server was also super friendly and the bill was so reasonablegiven the quality and quantity of food. We would definitely consider coming back here if we ever visit Lynchburg again. Read more
Atmosphere - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Value - 4/5 Excellent burgers and great seafood options. The brunch menu is also... great and the french toast was perfect. The risotto side was terribly salty but everything else was spot on. One of the bestplaces in town in terms of atmosphere; great outdoor area for drinking and games Read more
The food and service were good. I had the lobster Mac and cheese. The cheese had a grainy texture to it so i don't think it was... fresh. The lobster was very salty and little over cooked. My wife had the Nashville hot chicken. It wasn't very hot. It was moreof a pepper heat and not a real hot sauce. The best thing they have seemed to be the dozen or so beers on tap. One big turn offfor us is that we counted about 15 flies inside bouncing off windows and going after our food. Read more
Tried their cocktail flight, which was delicious! Good value for $16 I think. Also tried the peach/mango sangria, which was... good, and the slider appetizers (the burgers w fries and chicken sandwich w sweet potato fries). Everything tasted great, thechicken had a good heat to them and their fries are fantastic! Definitely would try them again. The restaurant is really lovelytoo, good atmosphere and a great place to just grab a drink and chill. Read more
This was the first time the fiancé and I went. We wanted to eat somewhere different. They have a very unique menu for... Lynchburg. There are items on their menu that you will not fine anywhere else. They have inside or outdoor seating and they alsohave an upstairs for seating. They were pretty friendly and we got our food fairly quickly. The food for the most part was 8/9out of 10 in my opinion. My other half said his food was also really good. We will be coming back to eat. I gave it a 4 becauseI don't feel that their is really anything for kids if a family or group with kids came in. I know, my preteen son would have ahard time finding something on the menu. So, with that in mind, it is perfect for adults on a date, a group of friends, collegeor older teens. The prices are not that bad either compared to places like Applebee's, Logan's or similar places. Definitely aplace for us to have a nice date night or date day and do girl's day lunch. Read more
I enjoyed this place. My husband brought me here in celebration of a major milestone with some family members.. The food and... drinks were awesome the only issue that I had was the risotto was undercooked and crunchy I couldn't eat that but the flavor wasgood tho lol. I switched it out with the green beans and man were they delicious. I can't remember the names of all the disheswe Had but they all was good. I think I tasted everybody's food. The best part for me was the live music and fire pits theatmosphere was amazing and welcoming Read more
I arrived a little early but they didn't leave me waiting in the cold and my arthritis thank you. Wanting to try something new... and randomly picked IRON & ALE from Google Maps. Having Louisiana/Texas roots I naturally tried the cup of Shrimp and ChickenGUMBO w/salad. The gumbo was delicious a wonderful balance of ingredients where the okra didn't overwhelm the dish. Perfect forthe cooler season: I will order the gumbo bowl w/salad as main meal. My main entrée Salmon w/ seasoned rice and sweet potatofries. Rice aside, the salmon & sweet potato fries was tasty, but over cooked. And perhaps soft cinnamon-butter w/brown sugarwould be nice for the SP-Fries. Bottom-line, I'll be back for the GUMBO and to make my way through the menu to see what hiddengems are awaiting me. Iron & Ale gets the Uncle BENN seal of appeal. Taste the Love Y'all ! Read more
