Reviews for Hot & Cold Cafe in Lynchburg, VA
I've been around the area for 5 years now, and I gotta say this was one of the best meals I've had here. The gentleman that took... our order, also cooked the food, he was very nice, I very much enjoyed him, but the real star is the food! WOW! Some of the besthummus and butter chicken I've had! Perfect spice level! I will ABSOLUTELY be back! So IMPRESSED!! Can't wait to try more ofthe menu! Read more

One of the few places where the owner and chef brings your food out and tells you how it was made! Just such a joy to come here!... Always wish I brought home more Baklava! Read more
Still fantastic, still delicious, still 100% worth the visit, cost, and cold weather to get there. Pictured: rice pudding, mango... ice cream (a must have!), eggplant hummus, and lamb rogangosh. So delicious, and the owners are wonderful believers. A greattime! Read more
This was my first visit to Hot & Cold. The atmosphere is different. It's small and sort of informal, I like the large street... front window. The kitchen is very unconventional, it's basically behind a wall that separates it from the dining area and youcan look through the entire prep area when you enter the restaurant. The service was good and the owner/chef was pleasant. Theyoffer Mediterranean/Indian dishes, so for me the flavors were unusual compared to the Indian food I have eatenpreviously. Overall it was okay and the pricing is reasonable for the portion size and variety. The menu is simple, not amultitude of options. There are various vegetarian options, a couple curry, lamb & chicken dishes. I will say if you likeMediterranean, this is a nice spot to try but if you prefer more Indian dishes you may want to look elsewhere as there are fewIndian offerings here. I recommend the Karahi chicken and Chicken Korma. Read more
I had the best service when eating here, and tasted the most amazing hot chai. I also had the tastiest hummus, creamiest korma,... and the crunchiest walnut baklava. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. They also have lots of greatvegetarian options! Read more
