We decided to stop in at Dish after exploring some of the roof top bars downtown. We were intrigued by their artwork and... offering of small plates. We sat at the bar and we?re glad we did ! The bartender was excellent keeping us involved withconversation and even introduced us to one of the local artists! The food was absolutely fabulous, honestly it was 10 times morethan what we expected and we?ll be back very soon! Read more

The bartenders and owner are very rude. The actual only people I had a good interaction with are the bouncers at the front. They... do not have a large selection of beers on tap and don't have a large selection of beers in a can/bottle. Don't go here if youwant to have a good time. Read more

Husband and I dined here for the first time on a Saturday night after making a 5pm reservation a month in advance. We were... greeted by attentive and helpful staff, and our waitress (red hair) was able to walk us through the details of the menu andspecials. We ordered calamari and chips and salsa to start and were given fresh complimentary bread and roasted-garlic oliveoil. All the food came out on mismatched plate ware with some pieces even having chips in the porcelain. I understand theeclectic look they may be going for, but it ended up looking old and careless. Unfortunately, the bread was dough-y in themiddle and bland. The calamari was lightly breaded and fried, but also bland in flavor. The chips appeared to be house made butfried either too long or in old oil as they came out very dark, very oily, and very bland as well. The salsa was fresh andtasted vibrant. We ended up asking for salt and were brought a salt shaker filled with flakey salt. It hardly escaped the holesof the shaker, causing us to look ridiculous as we vigorously shook the shaker, begging for salt to grace our food. We soonbecame uninterested in continuing with the appetizers as the work it took to get a flavorful bite outweighed the reward. Forour mains, we ordered a small plate of meatloaf over truffle mashed potatoes with morel mushrooms and a large plate of black seabass and escargot served over a bed of purple rice and 4 asparagus stalks dressed with a butter sauce. Sounds amazing right? Itcould have been. But again, salt was severely missing. At this point, it sounds like we have a sodium deficiency with our saltcomplaints. But the reality is that salt helps to elevate the flavor of the ingredients, and that?s why it was a shame to makesuch spectacular ingredients taste one-note. The butter sauce on the sea bass dish in particular came out oily rather than rich. Our bill came out to about $75 including tip, which was fine because we came with the goal of tasting a ton of dis Read more

Wandered into this little gem this evening and was just so impressed by the service, the cocktails, and the food. Excellent... service by Austin at the bar and from Dave in the back of house who went out of his way to ensure my husband could eat glutenfree. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Fantastic, highly recommend. Very inclusive environment. Read more

Food was delicious, but cold. I would have given it five stars had the food been the proper temperature.

What a gem of a place. The friendly service by Olivia was great, and the food was a pure suprise of different tastes that's... had my taste buds dancing. Dish specializes in small plates, with locally sourced ingredients. I love when I am told wherethe food is coming from. That adds to the food that I am enjoying. It puts a connection from the farm, to the chef to, mymouth. I will do my best to drop into dish next time I am in Lynchburg. I would advise anyone to stop in. It will be worthyour time and money.
