I visited today on a Sunday which for most soul food places is the best time to go. However, this was by far one of the worst... places i?ve eaten at. for one there?s was hair in the food which could?ve been expected when i saw the handler didn?t have ongloves or any netting. the food had no taste, no seasoning, and the prices were ridiculous. no drinks came with our meals, hadto ask multiple times for hot sauce as well and cornbread after already placing my order over the phone, and no napkins orsilverware were offered. the wait was quite long to say there was only one person ahead of me. I definitely would not recommendthis restaurant. couldn?t even get a refund for the horrible food because of course there were signs put up specifically sayingno refunds. Oh my goodness my first time there May 23 2021 I heard about it through word of mouth the day before. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS... customer service is wonderful. I didn't know that they had been there for almost a year. I would recommend them to anyone thatloves good home soul food cooking. Basically good cooking I will go back I need to add I've been to other restaurants that servesimilar food and claim to taste like home cooking they don't compare. I was one of the first one to eat there the food was delicious. I ate there so much they knew who I were. Their attitude was... very very pleasant only reason that I stopped for a while is because of my doctor I am a diabetic and I had to step back ontheir food but I miss it so much. Awesome Soul Food and Customer Service was very good and welcoming!.. I got baked Chicken, mac and cheese and candied yams and... my husband got the fish and shrimp and it was all delicious!. We had delicious pulled pork and a juicy freshly made hamburger steak with gravy. We loved the mac n cheese and sides. Nothing... fancy just good old home cooking. It will remind you of food your Grandma cooked! The owner was very nice and we willdefinitely go back again. Read more

The sides are delicious and staff is very pleasant (only reasons it?s not 2 stars). The fried ribs were overpriced for what I... received. $14.50 for three sides and ONE piece of rib (the 2nd rib was cooked hard and inedible). Was insulted that whoeverfixed my plate thought it was okay to serve a customer that. The cake was overpriced as well, we received slivers for $4 each.I?d go back for the sides and cornbread only. Really enjoyed my dinner. All they need to add is dressing and gravy. Good fried chicken! Well dinner #2. Fried pork chops,... blackeyed peas, corn and collards. Fantastic! Half expected the collards to be a lot of stems but nope, hardly any. Again, allthey need to add is turkey and dressing and gravy and they would be perfect! Wonderful cooks!
