Reviews for Sugarbakers Cafe & Bakery in Lubbock, TX
Sugarbaker?s hosted my luncheon today for 24 people and most people had a second serving. The chicken spaghetti was a big hit as... were the coconut and chocolate cream pies. Thank you for impressing my guests!! Read more
Great place for lunch... not so much desserts for events. I placed an order for a wedding cake week and 1/2 in advance and... everything went smoothly - they were able to make to order and would have it ready 11a the day before. Well, the day before theycalled inquiring things I thought we had already confirmed such as - what type of cake, which icing, the name, etc. All thingscovered during the placing of my order. I was then not able to pick up at 11a, but 3p. The cake itself looked horrible.. thewriting of the names looked like they put no effort into it - the flavor of the cake was not the one I ordered and whateverflavor it was - was bland. Read more

Cinnamon roll is delightfully soft, & moist. Spiced tea is tasty. 2nd time, here, & guaranteed to be back
Nice environment and lunchtime on a Saturday seems perfect. Not busy at all!
Adorable little cafe! We were looking for a place to spend a bit of time while the car was repaired at Pep Boys across the... street. What a pleasant surprise! Coffee house meets high tea-style finger foods. Their pastries are just lovely. This would bethe perfect place for a baby shower. They also cater for off-site events. Read more
Really impressed with the quality and customer service. I ordered the ?pick two? with the chicken salad sandwich & Caesar salad,... and then also got chips & pasta salad (the Mediterranean pasta salad was SO good)! The chicken salad wasn?t anything to writehome about, but the QUALITY of everything made up for the lack of flavor/texture. Next time, I?ll just order more adventurously! *if you opt for a croissant, there?s an up charge*if you get a drink, might as well ask for a large; only $.50 more & it?s ato-go cup* And get dessert while you?re there! I needed a cake last minute for a B-day party so I thought a bakery would be the best option over Wal-Mart. Boy was I wrong. $37... dollars later for a double layer 10? Chocolate cake that was dry as a bone. If that is all it takes to open a bakery, my wifewould put them out of business. Beware of this place, even the counter lady had an attitude. Read more
