This place has the best cakes in town, hands down. I have had several birthday cakes from here before, and recently ordered one... myself: red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and I can confidently say that it was the best red velvet I have ever had. Nottoo sweet and well balanced. Everyone wanted a second piece! They also had several gluten-free options, got a pecan cheesecake,and it was delightful. At first we were hesitant to buy cakes for my wifes bday because everytime we buy at this place called ?factory?, their cakes... are super sweet and we kind want to proceed with the bday without cake.But, I found out about this shop, Simply Decadent, online while searching for the best cake that arent too sweet. I was kinda skeptical to try it and assume that its excessivelysweet like that factory near south plains mall but lo and behold im glad we bought this eventhough it was the last piece sincetheyre about to close. I went in with my fiance to explore their gluten free options. Not many places have this option and I was surprised that there... were several options. We got a few treats but the almond amaretto cupcake was to die for. It was honestly the best cupcake Ihave ever eaten. I am so glad we found this place! Wonderful bakery and great service! They delivered amazing cupcakes and cookies to my mother for her birthday when I could not... be there for her in person. They also have great customer service - they responded to me super fast and were incredibly helpfuland kind. Edit: Our 2nd time ordering and cake was wonderful. However our experience wasn't as great due to misinformation and lack of... communication when placing the order. Please make sure it gets well explained of what exactly you are ordering, and that youunderstand how you're getting charged for what on the custom order so that there are no surprises. Other than that, I stillrecommend them and will keep my original review because both cakes were delicious. Thank you. Absolutely decadent! Still being fairly new to town, I didn't know where to acquire adecent cake, no references whatsoever and our event was planned last minute as well. So glad I found Simply Decadent, they werevery polite, understanding and helpful. Very busy but now I understand why because our cake was so delicious! I ordered a 9"round cake; marbled. It was so good it kinda tasted like cookies and cream ice cream, yum! The icing was not too heavy likeother buttercreams, it was light and fluffy, and not extremely sugary. Cake was light and moist. Simply the best bakery/cakery. I have gotten cakes from here for my engagement, couples shower and wedding cake. They are so... easy to work with and wonderful people. They offer so many interesting flavors and all of them were absolutely delicious. Wereceived so many compliments. When my wedding cake was delivered I left floral decorations on the cake table to use and theyexceeded my expectations with what I provided.
