Cafe Alvarez has such a great atmosphere, and the friendliest staff! My husband and I always get the Cubano sandwich and it is... consistently great everytime. It is a must try here in Lubbock! Read more
LOVED the food! I normally do t like any of the ingredients of the sandwich but since it was the most popular, I wanted to give... it a try and sooo glad I did! One of the best I have ever had! Portions are FANTASTIC, i couldn’t even eat half of it! Youwon’t be disappointed! Read more
I\'ve tried the food truck before, the Llano Cubano. Everything I\'ve gotten from the food truck and the restaurant has been... amazing! I\'ve never tried Cuban food before but it\'s rapidly becoming one of my favorite cuisines. The last time I went I gotthe green pig. It smelled so good I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it; and it tasted even better. I\'ll definitelybe back in many many times! Read more
I ordered the Cubano, and really enjoyed the sandwich. I wouldn\'t say it was amazing, but it was very good.
Omg as a Cuban from Miami I am\nTHRILLED this place is here. We traveled from\nAmarillo and we’re not disappointed. We have... the Cuban sandwich which was one of the best we have had ever and the Ropa Vieja con Congri was fantastico! They even have ironbeer. We will be back every chance we get and to everyone in texas I reccomend you go experience this cute little place Read more
I love to see Cuban cuisine spreading around Texas, however, this isn’t Cuban food at all. Lacking flavor and you can tell no... one in that kitchen knows how to actually make Cuban food. El congri was super watery and the “ropa vieja” was just flavoredwith olives. Read more
As a Cuban, I can tell you this is not authentic. The ropa vieja is okay and the congri is not congri. It is black beans and... rice and not even good ones. It’s watery and I think they forgot the salt… no flavor. Would not recommend. And if thiscongri isn’t good, the other Cuban truck that serves it won’t be good either because they’re owned by the same person. They’re Mexicans cooking Cuban food. Just doesn’t work. Read more
