I can only conclude that the other posters are “plants”/fakes or that they are impossible to please. The arrogance of the... music complainant is apparent. My family and I have eaten at Abuelo's MANY times. They are not perfect. Except for the posterwith the music complaint, who is? In our experience, service can be, but is not always, Abuelo’s weakest point but it is notatrocious and the atmosphere and food are exceptional. I rate them highly. Read more

Poor customer service from the manager and general manager. Did a curbside order pickup online, did not realize a 15% tip is... added at the last minute, called to remove it they said cancel it and place the order again, ok done. Scheduled pickup for 5:45arrive at 5:55, waited another 10min before being told they had thought both orders were cancelled, and just started working onit. How? you told us to just cancel one and we have an email confirmation for one cancellation. Waited another 40min before ourfood came out. Talked to the manager about how long it took and there should have been no confusion b/c he was one the phonewith me, he said "well you should not have canceled". Bro man proceeds to then turn and walk off after I call for him again. Ifollow him in and the GM comes out, big honcho man, proceeds to be even more rude. With no customer sympathy for waiting an hourand fifteen minutes, and supported the actions of his manager. The food is great but I will not be going back here, and I'llmake sure to echo the samething to anyone else. Read more

I have never seen a employee come up to a disabled couple and tell them she hated dogs and to take their service dog out side.... When the service dog was very well mannered .I've seen the dog there many times . Just for that girl to lye on them and get thedog kicked out . ADA will be herring from me and probably that disabled couple. The dog did nothing wrong. Read more

Our experience at Abuelo's is a lesson in corporate stupidity. There was a time when going out to dinner at a nicer restaurant... meant being in a relaxing, elegant atmosphere. This is what we were expecting at Abuelo's, with their very nice menu, veryfresh food, and the friendly smiles of the people waiting to serve us. The decor is gorgeous. Large booths surrounded a largelandscaped courtyard. The ceiling above looked like a clear sky just after sunset. Everything seemed set for a specialfather's day culinary treat in a serene setting where we could sit back and relax. Ahhh, maybe a little classical guitar, orsome tasteful Spanish/Mexican songs could really complete this atmosphere, but......... We walked to our table to the tune ofLatin disco music, with the bass turned up to near distortion. As we were seated, the music was so loud that some ham-fistedlumberjack could have been keeping time on our tabletop. I asked the waitress to see if the music could possibly be turneddown. It did seem to go down a bit, but the next song had the same steady disco beat. As the third number was a disco versionof "I Shot the Sheriff," where you could hardly hear Eric Clapton singing far down the tunnel of this pounding bass, I got up tospeak to the manager. I begged him to turn it down, which he did for a couple songs. In the meantime we were treated to aNickelodeon-type teenage singer and then a rap song, all with the pounding bass. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Betweenthe bad music choices and then having the volume turned up to the point of pain, I can't tell you what the food was like. I ateto get done and get out. The manager said that the music is chosen by the corporate office and the local restaurant has nochoice. Who are these corporate fools who spare no expense to create an elegant setting, and then drive people away with noisethat precludes any possibility of relaxation? Idiots! Read more
