Very disappointed. Pros: the owner was very nice. The place is clean and had a nice little bar. The bad review is almost all on... the cook. Maybe it was just a bad day but the steaks weren?t cooked right. The stuffed crab was way over cooked. The quail hadfeathers in it and was not warm. They said they didn?t have fish but then brought out fish after we were done. My mashedpotatoes had something in the bottom of them stuck hard to the bowl. They ran out of cold beer. There was a lot of substitutingbecause they were out of things apparently due to a freezer issue. And then the amount we were charged was shocking. 2 out ofthe 7 of us had 2 seafood platters and 4 beers and it was over $70. I will not be back nor will anyone we were with. Phenomenal service and food! As I walked in, I was greeted by the most friendliest waitress! She was very attentive and such a... joy to be around. We ate here because we were staying at the motel next door. Due to one of the reviews here, we went in with some worry about... what the expense might be. When we arrived, we found that the prices were extremely reasonable and appropriate for a small-towncasual American food restaurant. We ordered cheeseburgers, which were generously sized, delicious, and served piping hot. Withthem came some of the best-cooked crinkle-cut fries I think I've ever had (nice and crispy on the outside, not mealy or mushy).We believe that the review stating that a few appetizers cost them $60 must have been posted for the wrong establishment. Itjust doesn't make sense for a review of this place. (We found out there is a similarly-named restaurant 26 miles away, soperhaps it was a case of mistaken identity). EAT HERE! You won't be sorry. Very quick, friendly service around dinner time on a Saturday. I had fried and grilled quail-tasty both ways, but really liked... grilled. My 8 yr. Old gave their fried catfish "3 thumbs up." Read more
