I wish it were what it had been. It went from a personal experience a couple years back to a highly impersonal one. Also a lot... of use of plastic--bad for the environment!-- and do your own wine tasting. If COVID were that big a concern, they wouldn'tallow groups in the small tasting room. It's just one of those things the biz thought would be easier on itself, to heck withthe eco or the experience. Beer is served in plastic cups also. And if you want to see something really tacky, check out theso-called heated indoor 'patio' which is just a cold little converted storage room (in no way a patio!) with long plastic tablesand plastic folding chairs. Plastic is a major theme here. Would it not be good to have cozy wood and cloth furniture and alittle fireplace? Also, dogs in the tasting room should be verboten. Just rather go elsewhere next time. Experience made thewine, which was overly expensive to begin with, taste less good than if I hadn't gone to visit. Poo. Read more

Highly recommend this place! Besides the obvious beautiful and spacious views, the wines are delicious and the staff is very... knowledgeable of their products. We had 2 different wine flights to test out and neither disappointed. They also offer a varietyof their own beer brews with flight options, wine slushies, or a potent sangria that not only tastes good but puts a grin onyour face. They are pet friendly and had a couple snacks for our lil Hamilton. Will be back! Read more

Wonderful day trip if in the area. We stopped by Mill Creek General Store and got some fresh deli subs and sides for a little... picnic on the deck with some of Round Peaks fine wines. Wines not your thing, Skull Camp Brewery their sister company has someinteresting brews to enjoy on site. Beautiful views of the vinyard and surrounding mountains, a cool covered deck, and even afrisbee disc course around the property makes for a perfect day away. We'll be back. Before heading home, take a right on 89 andcheck out Scoops Ice Cream 100 yards down on the left. Very interesting place! UPDATE; Went for their spring time camp in thevineyards this trip. Should be on everyone?s bucket list if you love camping, wine, beer, and great food, finished with amassive campfire and s?mores before sleeping under the stars. Great staff who love to talk about their art, and the beautifulterroir they use to produce those wines. We?ll be back as often as allowed. Read more

Round Peak Vineyards sits on a beautiful property just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I-77. The feature a host of red, white &... sweet wines and are constantly experimenting with various blends of grape infused beers. The beers are branded Skull Camp, notRound Peak. The tasting room limit is 10 due to Covid. But who would want to stay in, with incredible views from all of theirland. Today they had 6 beers on tap, and ran through a couple of those quickly. Although their were a lot of people around, there were plenty of outdoor seating areas - back patio, front patio (both covered), seating by the dog run, fire pit & gazeboabout 150 yards from the winery, all offer a fantastic view of vineyard & mountain range nearby. There is an 18 hole disc golfcourse. Free to play. Starts out fairly easy, short open holes, and quickly changes to greater challenges - sloping up, down &sideways. Tasting/flights are offered. Beer today was better than wines & that?s sad, as Round Peak is a prominent winery inthe region. Nonetheless the experience was golden with sunshine & temperatures worthy of shorts & t-shirts, at least forme. Restrooms on site - both are single occupant/ private. Staff were both friendly, helpful and accommodating. Read more

The patio here aligns with the vines and gorgeous mountain views. Plenty of outdoor seating in a beautiful setting. There is a... good selection of wines and they also serve beer as it is the original location of Skull Camp Brewery.....so they have anextensive tap list from there. They also have a disc golf course on location. Thanks for the great service Ashley andexperience!!! Read more
