Stopped in for lunch with an old friend who had just moved back to Louisville. The atmosphere is fabulous. The building once... housed a pharmacy and the old tin ceiling adds extra charm. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. I ordered the OldLouisville Dip and was very pleased with the juicy meat smothered in cheese. The cup of au Jus was a perfect match for thesandwich. One of the best in Louisville! We stopped here on a whim and are not disappointed! Nikki our waitress is so sweet and kept up... with our family of 6. We ordered kids meals(huge portions) steak and cheese, old Louisville dip and pretzels with beer cheeseappetizer ( highly recommend this). If you are ever looking for a FANTASTIC Sunday brunch place, go to Hillcrest Tavern! Tried it for the first time. Got the... Chorizo Sausage & Gravy to split to see how it was, FANTASTIC. Such an amazing flavor. Got the breakfast with French Toast,Eggs and Sausage. This was the best breakfast I have had in a while. The Sausage spice and French Toast compliment each otherso well.
