Reviews for Hill Street Fish Fry in Louisville, KY
I wish I tried this place years ago! It's a lovely, cozy spot, very friendly, and the fish tastes great. I also loved the hush... puppy, it tasted exactly the way I feel a hush puppy should taste. If, like me, you grew up going to fish fries and fish specialnights at the local diner, I think you'll really like this place. Read more

Delicious, and much more variety on the menu than we were expecting. Amazing hush puppies!
Fish portions were small. Advertised white fish had dark streaks. Taste: nothing special. so so
This place is the neighborhood hole in the wall everyone needs to try. The lady behind the counter was friendly and quick to... refill our sweet teas(which was a true southern sweet tea!) and helped us with recommendations. Everything we got was friedperfectly light and crispy and tasted so fresh. There's only an ordering counter and a few small tables but absolutely worthstopping in on. Get extra tartar sauce because between the two of us my boyfriend and I went through almost half a bottle!Definitely reccomend the Cole slaw and the crab cakes. Read more
Great food. Tried pan fried oysters, crab cakes, and white fish. Green tomatoes too. Awesome service.
This restaurant was absolutely phenomal. Owner was as nice as could be even though we got off on the wrong foot because I had... an attitude about expecting a place to sit down and be waited on. Big mistake on my part. I will gladly come in here next timeI am in Louisville and order my food at the counter with a smile on my face. I had a rolled oyster that was heaven in a rolland a catfish sandwich that was to die for. My girlfriend had the chicken tenders and French fries and she loved her food too. Last but definitely not least he has the best potato salad I have ever eaten in my life. If you come to downtown Louisville anddon't stop here to eat you will never know what you are missing. Congratulations on being in business for 30 years! Youdefinitely know what you are doing. Read more
