Reviews for Falafel Oasis in Louisville, KY
i don?t even know what i?m eating. place was standard. wouldn?t have eaten inside. got takeout and person working was very... nice. got back to my hotel and was greeted with the driest chewiest ?meat? i?ve ever eaten. pita was stale to the point ofcrumbling. hummus was decent. but overall for 20$ you?d think they could give you something that didn?t seem like it as aweek old. Had the number 5 I believe. It was a sampler platter and was freaking outstanding. A plethora of flavors in that box. The rice... is the usual white stuff but is flavored a bit. Really liked the hummus Great flavor and a great dip for the kebabs. Charredonion works with it very well too. A bit pricey but very good. ???? Falafel next time or maybe the Scharwma. Who knows? No wronganswers here. Read more
Nice place for a quick bite to eat. Plenty of meat in a gyro but they don?t overfill them like a lot of places. Hummus really... hit the spot Read more
Falafel Oasis is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Louisville. A fifteen minute walk from the convention center... and Yum center well worth your attendance! The Baklava was the most delicious I?ve ever had in my life. We had the chickenschwarma, falafel sandwich, fries, hummus and pita, lamb gyro, grape leaves, and nothing disappointed! All fresh food andwonderful service. They have fountain drinks and also sweet tea, Turkish coffee or tea as well. Such a great experience andan easy five stars for authentic and fresh flavor! We got lamb gyros and baklava as big as a water bottle. Both excellent! The beef samosas were also on point. My only problem was... staying awake after I smashed all this yummy food. Read more
Nice Middle Eastern restaurant in downtown Louisville. Dining area is clean and offers a mix of tables or booths. We ordered... to go and was well packed along with cutlery. Ordered falafel and mixed grill. The food was nice, only complaint was the ricehad cloves and the beef was a bit chewy. Other than that, the lamb kabob was delicious and chicken kabob was tender and full offlavor. The hummus was very nice. Read more
I'm not expert on Mediterranean food but the times I have been here for a Gyro and some fries I was never disappointed. Their... fries are especially good, very well seasoned. While I only ever get a lamb Gyro I am never the only one in here and everyoneseems satisfied with the food and there are always a few people stopping by, grabbing to-go orders. The one thing I'll say isthat for to-go orders, they tend to wrap the basket of fries in foil, which makes them soggy. If you can open it before youdrive home you'll save their crispy, delicious fries from sogging up. I would say if they could just leave the fries uncoveredthey would be much better because they are really great when hot and fresh as a dine in or when you eat a few before the drivehome. Read more
