Reviews for El Nopal in Louisville, KY
I was given excellent friendly attentive service on a busy Saturday night. My favorite Chile Lime Talapia was delish though I... could only eat half. The special frozen watermelon margarita hit the spot. This location is terrific for people watching. If yousit near the front you can see lots of city sidewalk traffic. Locals like me eat here for the casual comfy setting anddependable menu. As it was Halloween weekend there were a lot of festive guests in costumes which was fun. I was able to park mybicycle directly across the street using a dedicated bike rack. The host kindly repositioned the blinds at my request so I couldkeep a close watch. Read more
Waited for a while and gave em another shot. They did not disappoint on my last visit. Service was excellent, all orders came... out at the same time (despite our large party), and the food was perfect! Read more
I go to this location a couple times a week on my lunch break to grab some food for bulking season at the gym. I always call in... my order and they are quick and concise on the phone with very fast pickup times. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and knowwho I am when I walk in and always greet me with a smile. I never leave this location dissatisfied! Read more
It's cool. Staff is nice, and food is good, but there is a little bit of a language barrier, so if you ask for something other... than what the meal comes with, it's usually wrong. They do fix it when you tell them. Margaritas are fire. Read more

The elnepal in the stone server the meat was dry and tough, cheese and vegatbles were cold. The server gotagitated when I told her about the drink. Manage asked everyone how was everything all around us but not us.. Quality andservice is now subpar. I can no longer recommend Read more
There is nothing better after a long hard gruesome day at work than to end your night with an ice cold beer and a good Taco. Or... 5 or 6. After finishing a job in New Albany the guys and I were in need of some hearty meal after work before getting on theroad to head back home for a 5 hour drive. So, as you can guess we needed a meal that would hold us off until we got home. Iordered the 3 Caritas tacos that came with rice and beans, my partners ordered the steak and shrimp which also came with riceand beans. The other ordered the Taco, burrito, and enchilada plate. Along with a quesadilla which was gigantic. To top thenight our server suggested a shot of tequila as we were ordering our beers. Our amazing server also took helped make it a greatexperience. When the drinks arrived at the table we were expecting some 12 Oz bottles of beer. No. We got giant beer mugs thatmade me feel like I was drinking from a giants cup. You can smell the taunting smell of the food before it arrived to the table. This place was just what we needed for the night. It is located in a beautiful part of town with lots to do and see. If you likeMexican cuisine and a fun friendly atmosphere you should definitely stop in and say hi. If you are not sure what to order thestaff is very helpful. Five stars from me! Read more
Favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The service is always good and the food is consistent. We try to go during happy hour... because they have great draft beer specials. My go to is the carnitas dinner. They have the most tender, flavorful pork in townand the salsa for the carnitas is EXCELLENT! It is enough for both me and my wife! Their pablano Ala cart is tasty and a greataddition if you like them. The grandspoil always gets the tacos and for $5 they are a great deal. Read more
The food is good, but I honestly come for the service and something to soak up the Margaritas
