5-STAR Experience EVERY TIME!! We?ve been lucky enough to dine in here three different occasions, as a couple, or when hosting... friends/family? and have never left disappointed. For my money, they have THE BEST Sangrias (Red or White) in all of Louisville.Their Patatas Bravas rival any that i have personally tried in Spain. That Catalan-Style Spinach? can?t be resisted. The GarlicShrimp must also not be missed, along with everything else in the menu. The only ?drawback?, if I have to be picky, is that theHam Croquettes-though delicious- are super rich/heavy (not anyone?s fault). We stumbled upon this place and what a treasure! The menu was a mix of tapas and family style portions, which makes this a great... spot for larger groups, though the ambiance can definitely lean into a great date night spot as well. Brandi, our server, wason-top of anything we needed and was very friendly! This is THE ABSOLUTE BEST KEEP SECRET, not just in Jtown, but in Louisville. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME and fresh. We waited almost... an hour to be seated but it's so so so worth it. The ribs, the crepes, the Paella, the soup, the fresh wine and sangria. I'm soglad we came. So good that I almost didn't want to do a review because I don't want to share how awesome this place was. It is loud and very uncomfortable. The chairs are an "eclectic" mix with most being of an industrial style that are... uncomfortable (especially if you are a larger patron) and there are no soft surfaces in the dining area to absorb sound so aftera few glasses of sangria everyone gets loud, then you're forced to scream at your party just to be heard. There are also barebulbs for lighting that aren't pleasant as they shine right in your face as you're trying to look across the table to converse. At one point, I noted a sandwich board with a message from the chef admonishing patrons that the kitchen makes everything toorder and we were warned verbally about the kitchen staff being small so the service would be on the slow side (we were told thepaella would take an hour and twenty minutes from the time we ordered it to arrive at our table). This is fine, and Iappreciated the communication upfront to manage our expectations, BUT the seating and atmosphere were so unpleasant, I wouldn'thave wanted to be there for that long. If you're looking for a "lively" place and you're not in a hurry, this will be just theplace for you. I prefer a more chill and relaxing atmosphere so I can talk to my party without yelling, so I did not enjoy theatmosphere at all. On the plus side, there were several options that are gluten free to choose from. I had the sirloin. It wasfine, though presentation was lacking from what I saw in the photos in the menu and I felt like it was sitting in too muchoil. The food was good, but it didn't make up for the atmosphere. As we walked in, I instantly noticed this place had a cozy atmosphere and a "home-like" feel. We were invited to sit where we... wanted, and upon seating, our drink orders were taken. As a heads up, this place has a piece of paper with scan code as theirmenu. They *might* have traditional paper menus somewhere, but I still thought that I should let anyone know who may not beaccustomed to these things. So, our drinks arrived quickly, and we immediately ordered our food because the paella is listed astaking 30-50 minutes depending on how busy they are. Our apps came out first, and within 15 minutes our paella had arrived. Itlooked and smelled amazing! Plus the socarrat was beautifully done and you could see this dish was cooked with experience andcare. We enjoyed the crispy fried chicken app and of course the paella! My only negative is that the sangria tasted verywatered down as if no alcohol was in it. For 32 bucks for the pitcher, I felt somewhat let down. Great drinks and great food. Our waitress was amazing. The atmosphere was very warm and looked clean. We had the eggplant... parmigiana. It was absolutely delicious. Edit: Came back and tried the Paella and charcuterie board, octopus. I recommend itall. It was absolutely delicious, the Paella was the best Paella I have ever had. Chef came out when it closed and said hi tous. She was great and the waitress was amazing too. She was extremely knowledgeable on all the plates and drinks. Can't wait tocome back!
