Prospect Hill is a lovely B&B, and we enjoyed our two night stay in the "Overseer's Cottage" immensely. The breakfasts delivered... to our cottage also were truly gourmet. The sweeping property is well maintained with lots of ways to enjoy the outdoorsincluding pool, volleyball net, walking trail, garden pavilion, and fire pit. The main house is beautifully decorated withantiques and has a cozy library and honor bar. We enjoyed meeting the owner who continues to upgrade the historic property. This is a lovely property! We stayed in the old slave quarters complete with working fireplace! The breakfast is five... star…homemade waffles, homemade quiche, grits..all outstanding. There were plantation pups to play with and an adorable catwho followed us around on the grounds. You can walk the grounds which are gorgeous. The Innkeepers are fabulous and dideverything possible to make our stay the best. We will definitely be back when we are in the area! Read more

Outstanding service, wonderful breakfast, beautiful grounds. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. We had a... few small details that needed help - an early check-in or a place to change for our afternoon event, a safety pin for my wife'sdress, and help finding a nice local place for food. In all cases, they delivered with grace, skill, and kindness. We lovedour stay here and would highly recommend Prospect Hill to others. 5 stars, 2 thumbs highly up! Read more

Prospect Hill was an incredible experience. The property is located about 15 miles outside of Charlottesville, Va. The main... house and detached buildings were constructed from 1699 onward. The cottage we stayed in was built around 1796 but had beencompletely updated and had all the modern conveniences but has the look , feel and character of something much older. The ownerswere so friendly and open and you could sense the pride they had in their property. Every morning we had breakfast delivered toour room. The food was delicious. All in all , a truly great experience. We would highly recommend a visit to Prospect Hill! Read more

The hosts Doc & Paula and their staff were welcoming and efficient. The grounds and accommodations were lovely & it felt like... stepping back in history for a very relaxing 3 nights. The gourmet breakfasts were amazingly delicious. I chose to eat downstairs in the inn rather than in my room so I could have the company each morning of Colette and Rocky, their very friendlydogs. I highly recommend this B&B!!! I look forward to another stay in the future!!! Read more
