My new favorite Mediterranean spot in LA! I honestly loved everything I tried here! First off, the falafel is phenomenal! Made... in-house and fried fresh, these little balls of goodness are perfectly crispy on the outside. I usually don?t get falafel when Igo to Mediterranean places, but Z Falafel will make anyone a falafel lover! Their chicken kabab is also delicious. The meat istender, juicy, and so flavorful! If you like your meats with a little added crispiness, I?d go for the chicken or beef shawarma. They?re cooked on a vertical broiler and then cut straight from the broiler and on to your plate. Can?t go wrong with theirtasty beef and lamb gyro as well! I highly recommend getting a combo plate so that you can try a variety of items! When you eatin, presentation of their plates is gorgeous! Their hummus is solid. I really enjoyed dipping my falafel into it! I usuallydon?t like grape leaves, but theirs are stuffed with rice, tomato, onions, parsley, and fresh lemon juice?so good! The bestgrape leaves I?ve had! All of their plates come with a salad, and while it may look ordinary, the dressing is so yummy! Itreally adds to the dish rather than other places, which just throw in some lettuce for filler. Aside from their plates, theyalso offer sandwiches, bowls, salads, and sides. They do catering as well! Z Falafel as two locations. 8th Street is theiroriginal location, and this is their second location on Hill Street. The Hill Street location does not have any indoor seating, but they have a couple tables out front and a small covered patio in the back. They have a few parking spots available forcustomers, so it makes coming here all the easier! Read more

This is the best! Typically I am too lazy to write a review, but not this one. I ordered the combo kebab and falafel and it?s... beyond imagination. Superb taste, no cheap unhealthy sauces, sweet vegetables and super tender meat!! I?ll come back for sure! Read more

My favorite spot for Mediterranean food in DTLA. Everything is made fresh and cooked authentically. The chicken kabob is juicy... and savory, the shawarma is flavorful, and the gyro melts in your mouth. Their hummus is creamy and delicious. Almost the entiremenu is under $15 so it's an incredible bang for your buck. This is a go to spot for lunch or dinner anytime I'm downtown! Read more

Been a while since I've had Mediterranean food and so glad I came here! The staff are all friendly and welcoming, it always... makes your meals better when you see the employees having a good time as well. Ordered the Grilled Combo plate and they arereally generous with their servings! It includes rice, chicken, beef, and falafel with some hummus, pita bread, and salad on theside. The bread is made ready to order as well as the falafel, and it was cool to see them cook it in between preparingmeals. This place does get quite busy, but the service is fast so you definitely won't wait long at all. There's also a smallprivate patio where you can enjoy your meal! Read more

One of my absolute favorite places for Mediterranean foods. Ive been to their other location and when i heard theyre opening a... second location closer to where i live, i had to visit! The chicken is moist, tender and flavorful. The beef is nicely seasonedand grilled. Both were cooked to perfection and were incredible. There was a sauce provided that almost reminded me of honeymustard(?). Dunk the chicken in it and it will bring you to flavor town!! Pairs nicely together. The falafels are crispy on theoutside and moist on the inside. I like to dip them in the hummus/ baba ghanoush and eat it. They make one of the besthummus! The salad is topped with the freshest ingredients- lettuce, tomatoes, chilis, peppers, and pickled vegetables! Perfectmedley of ingredients? super light and refreshing. There are parking spots reserved for z falafel inside a parking lot.Delicious and must try restaurant for mediterranean food! Read more

While cruising around through the jewelry district, I saw a little hut sandwiched between two parking lots. I was surprised to... see it was another Z Falafel! We came inside out of curiosity, and found that it was the same Z Falafel found on 8th Street.Tony, the owner happened to be at the shop, and greeted us with open arms, he was very friendly and took great care of us. Heeven suggested a secret menu item where you add beef shawarma to your Greek fries. We also ordered a combo platter toshare. When the food came out we were surprised by the sheer amount of deliciousness! The colors on the platters werebeautiful. Loved the amount of veggies on the plate and the purple cabbage is my absolute favorite. The shawarma fries were alsoa hit, the beef was so tender and juicy. The fries and shawarma together was an awesome combination, highly recommended! Greatplace for some awesome Mediterranean food, plus THEY HAVE PARKING for customers! Makes it way easier to visit them. I?ll be backfor some more shawarma and gyros soon! Read more
