The Terry Gross / roast turkey, green chili aioli, jalapeño/cilantro/radish slaw, hominy, tomatillo vinaigrette, pepper jack,... focaccia - 5 ???? Thai tea + raspberry soft serve - 5 ???? Wax Paper Frogtown is a bit out of the way but they are worth avisit. They gave a fun container space with a tiny patio. I went on a hot day but it was comfortable in the shade. The sandwichwas excellent. Tasty blend of flavors and textures on super fresh house made bread. The slaw on the sandwich was great. All ofit was and filling. I couldn't resist their soft serve. Perfect way to end a lunch meal on a very hot day. They have twolocations. I'll be making sure I stop by their Chinatown spot. Read more
We lucked into a parking spot this time and ordered ahead online and our order was ready fairly quickly. The person handing out... orders was friendly. I tried the Lakshmi Singh for the first time and probably won?t order it again, but there are others I wantto try that they have only at the Chinatown location. In Frogtown, just north of Echo Park, artsy shipping containers with matching patio furniture suspiciously take over a quiet... corner of the neighborhood. Of course, the sighting is no mystery to the locals, as Wax Paper is undoubtedly the most lovedsandwich place in all of L.A! With their experience in the restaurant industry, owners Peter and Lauren Lemos just wanted toprovide a place for locals to hang out...with a sandwich shop. The sandwiches and the drinks at Wax Paper are far from ordinaryas the incredibly genuine and passionate people at the shop with their mission to 'serve everyone.' These are musts. Ira Glass:savory garlic aioli spread on a Bub and Grandma's airy bread with all the textures in check with creamy avocados and crunchyveggies. Obsesssssssssed with this place. Love the menu love the vibe. Very FROGTOWN. When I went online order only - a little bit of... pain. I got the Audie Cornish which was extremely delish. Would hope they have more new options on the menu and maybe somelimited edition features. And who doesn?t love NPR? Read more
