Trattoria is reminiscent of a French bistro. Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Pico Blvd, we were pleased that they were open... on Saturday night. Kosher eating has few options after Shabbat, so Trattoria gets points for that.\n\nWe ordered lots of stuff. The Shitaki Rigatoni was the fan favourite. They do a great job on the French onion soup, as you would expect from a fine Frenchestablishment. I would stay away from the Gnocchi. The pizza was unique and definitely worth a try.\n\nWe opted for the RamonCordova Rioja, it pairs well with pizza and pasta. That would be my only recommendation from the wine menu.\n\nIt is a bitoverpriced, which is why I am giving it four stars, but the food is really good and I wish the service was a littlebetter.\n\nHere?s my full recommendation\n\nApps: Artichoke Dip, Nachos\nSoup: French Onion Soup\nEntree: Shitaki Rigatoni andany of the pizzas\nWine: Ramon Cordova Rioja\nDessert: Crème Boule or Chocolate Lava\n\nThe desserts are really somethingspecial. You can really taste the butter in the Chocolate Lava Cake. Read more

BEWARE: owner keeps all the employees tips. Not sure if that?s legal, but it?s definitely unethical. Employees are already... underpaid keeping tips is just ridiculous. Food is subpar there are better kosher options out there that treat workers better. Read more

I have no clue how this place is still standing.\nThe service is ridiculously bad, the food has no flavor; tastes water down,... wether it?s passover or not. for what they charge they should add more food instead of only a spoonful.\nAnd seriously, whobrings water at the end of the meal????? Please do not go here! I?m not sure how this place has over 1 star. From the outside, it looks like a place with high quality... food and with that comes big prices. Not a problem. First off, we waited 45 minutes for our food. Not so bad because it wasrelatively full and that?s not such a long wait for high quality food. I was severely mistaken. The food was horrendous! Thegarlic fries were cold and the pizza was average but came drenched in a bucket of oil.\nThe worst was the gnocchi. It tastedmicrowaved and the marinara sauce had zero flavor. When I say zero flavor, it tasted like they opened a can of straight tomatopurée and poured it over the microwaved gnocchi. Our reservation was for 7 people and 2 of us didn?t even touch the food afterthe first bite.\nHopefully for them, this is an off night. But for that price, I would expect fresh pasta, fresh sauce, and hotfood at the minimum. Read more
