Took my friend here today for her birthday as all she wanted was oysters and it was terrific! Most importantly, the oysters,... shrimp cocktail, and champagne were the perfect combo on this hot summer day. What made it even better was chef Jeffrey! I had the pleasure of having jury duty in DTLA and although I dread waking up daily to come to court, I look forward to my lunch... at Oyster Gourmet! The oysters and shrimp are fresh and DELICIOUS! The Pacifico is ice cold and the view of the market isunmatched! I can?t forget my new friend Jeffery, the absolutely sweetest person! He really makes the place light up with hissmile and helpful recommendations. I was never a fan of caviar but when he recommended it, I had to try the shrimp cocktail. Itwas bomb and I?ve literally had oysters, shrimp and beer every time I come here. Thanks for being amazing Jeffery! Jaja one of the only places in Grand Central Market to sell oysters in the shell ! Six or a full dozen! Baja Oyster an... Kumis Champagne or a cold cup of pacifico! What a great way to start the day or finish the night in downtown Los Angeles. Theyhave all the hot sauces you can imagine or straight classic sides. Yes they accept most major credit cards an cash! Pricy, but quality of oysters and service make up for it. Come by and have some oysters along with some cold drinks and other... snacks at GCM. Pull up to their bar or sit at a near by table outside. Fun little counter in Grand Central Market right off the Hill St entrance. We split a dozen oysters and a bottle of bubbly.... Oysters are sourced from Baja and are incredibly fresh and briny, if a little inconsistent in size. Service was impeccable,kudos to Chef Jeffrey for running the show. My folks were visiting from out of town and this was a flashbulb experience forthem. We'd do this again in a heartbeat. Read more
