Okay so the food is delicious and satisfying, especially if you?re in Chinatown and it?s a late night and you?re craving a hot... bowl of something to temper an stomach empty of everything but alcohol. However! If you?re here in person, understand thatthere is only ever one person working front of house and it may take some time to be seated, and then have someone take yourorder. We had gone to the original Suehiro in Little Tokyo, but the line and the wait was too long. So we scampered to this location... where there's a small free parking lot that has open spaces and despite the cafe and menu being slightly smaller in size, it isjust more comfortable. The food is solid, we had the ramen (nice flavor) and katsu curry (light with carrots and potatoes) hitthe spot. The katsu is nice and crispy. The older Asian lady that was serving was absolutely horrible and had no manners. Worst service I have ever experienced. On top... of that, the chicken katsu was soggy with a very selfish portion. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted being the only people in therestaurant. Lady was in the phone most of the time not paying attention to us. Do not recommend to anyone. Would give zero starsif I could. Pretty decent Japanese restaurant in ChinaTown with affordable price. They have lunch special on weekdays, but you might need to... pay extra for toppings or meat options. The lunch special menu in the restaurant might not be accurate. I tried calling to orderlunch specials a couple weeks ago, and they told me different special dishes compared to the ones I saw in the restaurant. Read more
I absolutely love this spot. Ive been here at least ten times already!!! My favorite is the vegan tomato ramen. You have to try... it with sheimp and a soft boiled egg!! The tonkotsu ramen is also a go to. The chicken kaarage is always on point! Read more
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful... desserts. Having tried so many Japanese restaurants, this one is, without a doubt, the best I?ve visited - traditional Japanesecuisine made with love and care.
