A gorgeous indoor/outdoor downtown restaurant. Today they had a live jazz trio that added to the swanky vibe. We were here for... Sunday brunch. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was delicious and did not leave me feeling heavy. The hollandaise was lightlytart and creamy. The flavors were clean and balanced. Strada has been one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for the last few years. This time we started out sitting at the bar... for Saturday brunch without realizing a church group was meeting in the main dining area. Since the group was sharing a sermonthat made it too loud to have a conversation, they moved us to the courtyard which is behind the building (away from the street)- it's an oasis of calm in Downtown LA and so cute. The food and drinks were so good! We cleared our plates. I especially lovedthe mini potatoes that came with my benedict, and my husband loved the burger (he's pretty picky about burgers). As always,everyone was friendly and helpful - the owner, bartender, server, and even the guy who refilled our waters. We are lookingforward to coming back again in a few days for dinner and drinks with friends. :) Read more
First time visiting and we had a wonderful visit. We made reservations ahead of time so that we could have dinner before a show.... The restaurant is beautiful and has a wonderful outdoor seating patio with heat lamps. We were all very comfortable. Therestaurant has free parking but we already had event parking at the crypto.com arena. It was a quick walk from there. Drinkswere really tasty. One of the founders of the restaurant was there and kindly took the time to help me select a rye for myManhattan. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My favorite was the Strada Caprese followed by the New York Steak. The harissa andchimichurri paired perfectly with the steak. They don't have salt on the table. If you ask for some they will bring you a tinyportion of pink salt, it's delicious. I like salt. Read more
Service AND food were amazing! It was my dad’s birthday and the staff and manager or owner went above and beyond. They brought... out a dessert and had the band play happy birthday which was such a treat. The food was delicious too - we had paella, lambskewers, anchovies appetizer, roasted butternut squash, ceviche and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Props to Kat ourserver for making it such a pleasant experience, she really went above and beyond and we felt extra welcome and special. Read more
Strada Esteria was an amazing find. We were seated right away. Server came in a timely manner. We ordered and did not have to... wait a long time for our food. Great for couples who like to share. The food was great. The salmon pizza was one of the best Ihave ever had. Would come back and I highly recommend this place to all of my friends. Read more
We had a group of 14 that wanted to get together before a show at the Microsoft Theater. I searched for a place in walking... distance that looked like it had good food and a good outdoor dining area, as I personally do not eat indoors at restaurants.Hit on Strada, and so glad I did! The food was tasty with a great selection. I also had a Black Manhattan, and let me just warnyou that this drink maybe goes down a little too smoothly!!! Antonio served us on the back patio, and he was great. He was ableto keep a large group happy! The patio itself was really nice. Very spacious and open, and tables are not right on top of eachother. There was another large group out there, but so much space no one was crowded. Even when it got more crowded and mosttables were filled there was no one right on top of us. I really appreciated this, as I do have some COVID anxiety. I was fullyprepared to not unmask or eat if I were uncomfortable, but I was not and had a great time. If you are also COVID anxious butwant to be out with friends, this is the place for you. My one hiccup was that I booked on Open Table, and did book foroutside, but when we got there our table was set up inside. The staff was super friendly and quickly set us up outside. I wouldjust recommend maybe calling to confirm your reservation type. Other than that, I was super pleased with this pick!! Read more
