Shojin, a vegan and gluten free themed Japanese restaurant, is one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. We had the... chef’s special tasting menu 12 items for $58 per person, then added desserts, so plus drinks it was a pricey night out forfour, but so enjoyable it was worth it. The preparation is impeccable and the flavors are indescribably great. The service is sokind and attentive. We went away so full. See photos for some of the culinary delights. Read more

It was very nice! The food (I had ramen) was super delicious and the staff was so nice. The waiter even gave us some... information for other vegan restaurants around town and wrote it down for us. For our way home they gave us some tea. I cantotally recommend this restaurant. Read more

My girlfriend and I came for dinner and tried the Chefs Tasting menu. It had 9 different dishes to eat and was extremely... affordable for only 50 dollars. Everything had very unique and defined flavors that are rare to experience. The purple treasure5.0 was incredible! The cocktails are delicious and I would strongly recommend the matcha cake with ice cream for dessert! Iwill definitely come back to try things from their regular menu! I never thought I would have such a great vegan and glutenfree experience! Read more

I ordered The Best special. I was really impressed with the ambiance inside and the warm reception when I picked up the order. ... That being said, this was the most overpriced vegan sushi I have had, and it was mediocre at best. I’ve eaten vegan sushi inMontreal, Seattle, NYC, and other major cities in North America. I even have reviews for some of those places. Given theprices, I was expecting more flavor. I didn’t even like the sauces or the pickled veggies! I’ll try anything once, butthat’s the only time I will eat from here. Read more

Reservation experience: I had made a reservation on Yelp about a week or so in advance. Location: Unassuming restaurant front.... We would street parking a block away. Ambience: What a gorgeous patio. If you can, try to get seated there. Food: We tried theChef’s tasting menu for which I was quite excited. As a vegetarian, it’s usually hard for me to do a tasting menu prettymuch anywhere. The tasting menu is good portion size for two people. I loved the baked crab cake hand roll- both texture andtaste. Black evolution salad may be the only salad I have completely gobbled down (I’m not a salad fan, typically). Thetruffle maitake and tempura was also great. Overall, absolutely amazing. Wait staff: Friendly wait staff who provided us withgood directions. Value for money: The tasting menu is priced at $88. I would happily pay that for the quality and variety offood. Read more

I am so disappointed I was so eager to try this restaurant. I went in and I wanted to sample different dishes and I was... extremely hungry. So I ordered the sampler special even though they say it's for 2 people I was hungry enough to eat it all. Itwas a whooping $88 but all I didn't get everything on the sampler list and some dishes where I was supposed to get 4 pieces Ionly got 2 pieces. I left there feeling hungry still after paying $114 ($104 plus the tip) I tipped only 10% because the servicewas nice but I felt cheated on. Never again. Plus the food is just ok, Not that great. The photos of what I ordered and what Igot are attached. Read more

The MOST professional experience I have had in so long. The service was so high-end, professional and kind! I felt so taken care... of almost to the point where I felt guilty because they were so attentive and fancy! They put napkins in our laps and openeddoors for us. They all looked so clean and put together, and each one of them match with the other host/servers. The two of usshared chef‘s tasting special which included seven amazing dishes that were so hard to believe they were vegan. I lovedsupporting a place like this that aligns with my values of ethical consumption and compassion!! This is the type of place thatwe need to be putting our energy into supporting, I also heard it’s a family business and the setting was very intimate andfriendly! I would recommend this to any person vegan or not vegan for a truly interesting experience that will blow your mind Read more

This vegan Japanese restaurant was a good experience. It was moderately busy on a Saturday night but there were reservation... slots still open for dinnertime. I would recommend ordering a few plates between the group and sharing. The sushi with eggplanton top was the best in my opinion - the eggplant was hot but it almost melted in your mouth and gave a good contrast to the coolpieces of vegetables in the sushi. Every item was plated very well and gave the impression that it was more than just food. Theydo not give you any soy sauce, unless you ask, but you don't need it because everything was flavored very well. Read more
