Hidden gem alert! Poke Me is by far the best in LA! the best fish and sauces !!!!
Poke me is a amazing hidden gem in a small strip mall. We always pass it, when we go to yogurt land but it came to mind one... night when we were deciding what to have for dinner that was healthy and light but also hoping the cravings would be satisfiedas well. I mean you really can't mess up a poke bowl unless the Ingredients are not up to par. Ingredients and staff was key!Staff was friendly and super attentive! The place is small and I'm guessing it does and doesn't get busy at times, depending onthe hours . I ordered a bowl which got made until a sushi burrito, which I love a good burrito! And it was really a good decentsize for what I was paying for. I don't think it's on the actual menu but I looked on Google reviews and on Yelp to help me, butI would just ask the staff if they can make it or not! I didn't take any pictures cause I was hungry! And usually my camera eatsfirst but it was so good! Definitely a bookmark of places in the area to stop by and support! Next time I'll be postingphoto! Also my order : Brown rice, made into a sushi burrito, 2 scoops of spicy tuna, 2 sides of seaweed salad, red onion,cucumber, cilantro for my mix ins, gochujang sauce, sweet habenero, yes I do like it spicy ! 1. No masago available at this restaurant. 2. Had to call to add sesame seeds, not on app menu. 3. Burrito isn't like the... pictures. It's all mixed together, instead of layered. Tasted fresh, but the appearance made it almost inedible. Read more
Tried this place out on a whim because I had a bad craving and my go to poke spot was closed. No regrets. Staff was friendly.... They offer great toppings and sauces. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the albacore. It has an odd taste to it. Other thanthat my poke was delicious and the fact that there's parking makes it a spot I'd visit again. Read more
I've eaten here many times and it's usually really good but the fish was spoiled this time. I called to let the manager know to... stop serving it so customers dont get sick and asked for a refund, the manager was unapologetic and insisted it was fine as if Idon't know the difference in taste from good fresh fish to bad spoiled fish. The worst employees. They kept me on the phone for 20 minutes only to tell me that they don't do phone orders. Then we have to... drive here to make the order. Then they tell me because I was on the phone with them for so long that they took their last orderas I was on the phone with them. Sean is so rude I don't know why he's in the front. They closed the door on the people comingin as we were leaving out.. it was earlier than the time they close. If you're looking for a good place to eat, this isn't it.They treat they're customers so rudely is not even worth going in. If you're going to order order delivery so you don't have tosuffer.
