I've been coming here for almost 40 years. It has gone a little downhill since Mr Noshi sold it and the pieces of fish are half... the size now and double the price. I still love coming here though but due to the price increase and the portion decrease Idon't come here nearly as often anymore. This place used to be the best sushi in LA and now it's just average. Most of theoriginal staff is gone and it's lost that family feel to it. Noshi is still a great place to get sushi but it's just not thesame. I still love their sushi but when you remember it being so much better, it's just hard to accept it the way it isnow. Noshi, please bring back the quality when Mr Noshi owned it. Read more

UPDATE 10/26/22: after coming back here for the first time in 3 years, they accept credit card!! This place is still one of the... best sushi deals in town! Everyone has their favorite sushi spot in the city—this is mine!! Generous cuts, fresh fishselections, amazing Japanese beers, and friendly service. This place hit all the checkmarks for me. Plus, they have a parkinglot in the back. The only major downside is that it’s cash only. My friends and I scrounged together just enough cash fordinner, but we couldn’t go all out. Def bring around $30/person to be safe and to account for tip! Read more

AVOID, AVOID: new owners, new sushi chefs, careless service, sub-adequate food. They now prioritize take out over dine in. ... This has been my go to sushi spot for 20+ years. Went last Sunday for supper. It took forever to get a server visit and sheran off while I was still talking but we gave it a pass since they seemed short staffed. Next, I was scolded for not fillingout my order form correctly. Still, we were cool, since we could see that other tables were also waiting for drinks and toorder. 15 minutes to get drinks and one of 3 hot entrees. I ordered the sweet shrimp and was presented with the fried headonly. It sat on the table getting cold while we waited another 52 minutes for a shrimp, our sushi and entree order. We couldsee that the kitchen and sushi area was busy but we realized that they were prioritizing take out while every table near me satthere with no food. Our tuna was watery, albacore mushy, crispy onions cold and soggy. We usually reorder 2 to 3x but afterthe first round we asked for the check. No itemized check, just a total and I was asked to calculate my tip in advance. As afavor I calculated the entire bill, tax and tip and totaled it. I was then scolded again by the server. As we left, we couldsee that no one, not even the sushi bar had much food in front of them. They made it gracefully through pandemic, even makingchanges to their cash only policy, but it's over. Find a new sushi place. Read more

If you order take out expect 2 HOURS for your order. I arrived 1 hr after I order because that’s what time they said my order... will be ready. I arrived and they said another 20 minutes. I waited and went back. They ignored the pick up door for over 10minutes even though numerous employees made eye contact with me. I had to get the attention of one of the servers passing by thedoor. They got my name and left. I didn’t hear anything. A simple: someone is working on your order would’ve nice but theynever returned. I really hate to be a bother but I rang the bell again and a few minutes later someone showed up with my order.I finally got my order 2 hours after I put in the order. I didn’t have an option to cancel my order online otherwise I wouldhave done so. I understand that they may be busy but I don’t think it should take 2 hours for a small pick up order to beready. We've been going to this place for 20 years now. It was great value and delicious. LOVED IT. After new management, the store... looks a lot more cluster, not as comfortable. Food portion is slightly smaller with the new owner. After Covid lockdown, wewent back and another problem arises - Flies! There are a lot of flies inside the restaurant. This greatly reduced ourappetite. They MUST do something about the flies problem instead of having a chef swatting the flies at the sushi bar in frontof customers!!!!! Quite disgusting. Read more

Had the sushi platter and crunchy spicy tuna roll and both were excellent. Freshness and flavor were both outstanding. Also, I... like my sushi big, and this is one of the places that cater to that style. Read more

I enjoy eating at Noshi Sushi because I enjoy eating the Teriyaki’s Chicken and Tempera. They also do Sushi so you can either... dine in or take out. They also have a Dynamite Dish and Crunchy Rolls. Usually we have to pay Noshi Sushi for Cash. I like theChicken and Tempura because I enjoy the Chicken Breast and the Tempura is really delicious. And the way they handle the Chickenand Tempura is Beautiful and looks good. So this is a good place to either dine in or take out for Noshi Sushi. Read more
