Reviews for Nonna's Empanadas - 3rd Street in Los Angeles, CA
Excellent array of flavors, both salty and sweet. The empanadas have the perfect amount of filling with great seasoning. I've... had the guava and cheese before and this time I tried the shrimp one. Definitely recommend both. Read more

I had carnitas, cuban and filipino beef empanadas and they were on point ! You can ask for the chimichurri sauce, they had spicyand regular. The space was clean, also the bathroom. Reasonable price. They also have coffee and i liked it. The cashier wasfriendly and smiley. Def, I will come back. Read more

Pretty damn good. Excellent selection. Savory, sweet, vegetarian. It captures Americana, Italian, Latin... Nonna's Empanadas... really shows off the wide range of choices, allowing the Argentinian menu to show off it's bold take on diversity. Theingredients tasted fresh and wellbalanced in each empanada. Well worth the stop considering it won't break the bank. Nonna'sEmpanadas also has a cool chic vibe with simple, bold interior design. Read more
Staff was nice and the empanadas were ok... I've definitely had way better. But it is what it is. They got our order wrong at... first and was able to fix it without any issue... A bummer that they only have what's available in the display so if they're outthey're out. Read more

Empanada 3 pack / carnitas, filipino beef, chicken + jalapeno - 5 stars! House made spicy chimichurri - 5 stars! Nonna's... Empanadas started on 3rd street but a few years ago they left their original location and moved down the street to a larger andmore spacious shop. It suits them very well. The new space has a big counter for displaying all their wonderful, delicioushand-made empanadas. I love how many options they have. I had to limit myself to three and it was very tough to choose. Eachempanada was tasty and packed with filling. Their flaky dough is awesome. I love that they stamp the top with the flavor name. Ikind of want to set aside a day to sample every single flavor. I don't know if that is a good or bad idea though. Probably a badidea for my stomach would be my guess. Do not forget to ask for their house-made chimichurri! They have mild and spicy. Youcould put this on almost anything and it would elevate the meal. Fair warning - parking is a bit of a challenge for thislocation but be patient and circle around the block and you'll be rewarded with a spot. Read more
