Reviews for New Flavors in Los Angeles, CA
I use to go to this restaurant almost every week for a year until my recent experience where they charged me for chicken for my... corn soup and there was not any in my soup. I always order this and the people working there know this. I called and let themknow on my next order. They said they will make sure chicken will be added. When I picked up my order, I asked for an itemizedreceipt. We I looked at the receipt they charged me double for the chicken??? They never credited me for the chicken theycharged on my last order and then charged double for chicken on this order. The added chicken costs $2.00 and they lost acustomer that came to their restaurant 4-5 times a month over $4.00 total. Make sure you get an itemized receipt and don?t getripped off like I did. They lost $200- $250 a month of my business. Read more
My man and I were looking for good chow mein for a good price for a minute and since we found this place we can?t help but keep... coming back. We?ve been on a budget and have been satisfied sharing just one order of these noodles each time. For $12 we bothcan eat and the people who?ve served us have all been super sweet even though we only order one thing, even when we came like 10minutes before closing. The veggie chow mein is stacked, perfect flavor, and is the perfect ratio of noodles and vegetables; itincludes bean sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms, snap peas, onions, green onions, carrots, and bok choy. Plus soy sauce packets andfortune cookies. (: Beats any other place we?ve tried for noodles. 12/10 every time!! Read more
Enjoying a very delicious early dinner. New Flavors is our favorite Chinese Restaurant to go for both dining in and for take... out. Did you know that they actually "brew" the authentic leaves, etc at the restaurant for their flabulous Thai Ice teas? I'mso addicted to their Thai Ice teas, so fresh and so tasty! Read more
There was a long piece of hair (I have short hair so certainly not mine) in my pick up meal so quickly lost my appetite and half... of the meat was unchewable but food didn't taste that bad, though. Read more
The servers were super efficient and professional. How did two people handle the whole front house? Wow we were impressed.... Delicious too. Five stars. Read more
I've been looking for a cheap-eat Chinese restaurant in West LA. And I'm glad to say that this is it. My friends and I went for... the lunch special. The whole fried fish (dou ban yu) in the photo was so worth it. Only $9.15 for the entire fish! I'd saythat's a pretty good deal. We also preferred sweet and sour pork which was part of the lunch special too. And we also preferredhoney walnut shrimp (not on lunch special). For the lunch special, they also give you an egg roll, rice, and soup on the sidetoo. In the end, my friends and I (three of us total) only spent $14 each. Looking forward to coming back again! This place is awesome, I've been here 5-6 times and it's been fantastic every single time. A classic old school, affordable... Chinese place with a million options all between 9-16 dollars. The dinner specials give you a crazy amount of appetizers andfood; I always end up with two full meals and I have a big appetite. It can be a bit chilly so bring a jacket in the winter ifyou tend to get cold (they leave the front door open for air circulation). It seems like a lot of their business is takeout(which I've done and it's good!), but I recommend coming in and sitting down, you only get the soup with the lunch/dinnerspecial if you dine in. Photo is the honey walnut prawns for me and the lunch special sweet and sour chicken for my girlfriend.Delicious as always! Read more
Chinese restaurants are hit or miss. If you?re craving Orange chicken, this place makes the best on the west side. It?s... flavorful and tangy and crispy, not soggy. The portion is very generous! I was only able to finish half, which will keep mecoming back!:) Read more
