Reviews for MUN Korean Steakhouse in Los Angeles, CA
Amazing find in the busy part of Korea Town! High quantity food, great service and awesome atmosphere! Highly recommended. We... ordered the Mum Special and we loved it. The meats were very tasty. So glad we decided to go here instead of waiting over anhour at another popular spot a block away. Read more
Came here last weekend to check out the hype and had to see it for myself. They do not take reservations but you can join the... waitlist on their Yelp page. We waited roughly 30 minutes and was seated down at 8 pm on a Sunday. We ordered the MUN?s choicewhich included the Aged Ribeye, Wagyu Tail Flap, Hanging Tender, and Marinated Boneless Short Rib. We also got the Wagyu Brisketand cheese on the side. The pictures on Yelp looked small in portion so I was worried about not leaving full but BOY, did Iunderestimate it. My party and I left full and food coma-ed right after. The meats were good quality and my favorite wasdefinitely the short rib. FYI: The Yelp page says they have valet but at this time, they do not. Unfortunately, there is onlystreet parking unless you pay 10$ for the lot across the street. K-town is notorious for their street parking nightmare so planaccordingly! Read more
Delicious food. Very friendly and attentive staff. Accommodating to our stroller (we were seated on the second floor) and also... dietary needs. Great ambiance. Check for covid vaccination card. All dining was indoor, it appeared, when we went. Spent about$90/person including drinks and appetizers. Street parking in the area is difficult (near impossible, especially before 7pm),but there are several lots nearby. Overall, a very nice experience. Read more
What an experience. The Mun's Choice combo portion is perfect in size and price. With a sampling of their best cuts, you're sure... to enjoy every course. Mun's Choice Combo: Aged Ribeye, Wagyu Chuck Tail Flap, Aged Boneless Short Rib, Galbi (marinated shortrib), Bulgogi Yuk Jeon (marinated beef patty), Japchae (glass Noodle w/ veggies), Mun Stew, Seasonal Slush (CitrusWatermelon). Service was impeccable and they grill your meats for you, if you prefer. The ?? (banchan, or side dishes) weredelish and restocked frequently. Cocktails were well made, and the bartender knew his stuff. Will def be back! Read more
The food was very delicious. We were all shocked at how exquisite the meats all tasted. We had a great time and the waiter was... enjoyable and funny. Only downside is that the music was a bit loud so we felt we needed to talk very loudly to hear. Read more
I don?t know if I have ever had more delicious meat in my life. Also the stew you get was so amazing. The service was fantastic!... I?m not from this area and I know I will think about this food forever. Read more
I finally had the opportunity to try out Mun after one of my close friends kept on recommending and hyping up this place, and... I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed. A group of four of us got the large combo and while we didn't leave "stuffed", wewere all very satisfied with the portion size. Literally everything they put on the table was delicious. All of the meat wasvery high quality and the banchans were also very tasty. Even the random mushroom that comes with the meat was so juicy andtender. The next time you're looking for quality KBBQ, I would definitely check this place out. Places like Daedo andKanghodong are nice, but the wait times are always long and they don't have reservation systems. The only real downside to thisplace is the non-existent parking lot. You'll have to find street parking, which will be pretty hard, considering just how busythis area of K-town can get. Read more
i would like to recommend this place to: - K-BBQ lovers and/or high quality meat lovers - a party of 2 or more - people who want... to eat out for a special occasion & don't mind it being a little casual i went to the place alone, and was told i need to orderportions for 2 at least. my orders were wagyu beef (portion seen in first picture), mun stew (basically doenjang-jjigae), rice, beef tartare & taco wasabi. it was very filling for me, but i think it would've been just enough for 2 people. the food is onthe pricey side (i paid $120 + tip). i'm sure there are other menu items you can order for bigger portion at better cost. greatservice by all servers.
