Lovely experience! One of my fav spots for date night. The decor is so cute. Staff is very friendly, and just as hyped on the... food. The aromas, and the attention to playing have me ordering with my eyes. The meatballs are so tender.. those paired with atomatoes heirloom salad, and the crispy Brussels are the perfect starter to their delicious pasta. Don’t miss out on thecrispy Brussels tho… they really mean crispy, not burnt. Was excited about that. My fav is the pasta primavera, but my gfdoes like a good vodka sauce. I haven’t tried any desserts yet but you know that’s next. Oh! And they have gluten freepasta. Big win. Read more
We decided to have a lowkey dinner for our anniversary on our trip to LA. We wanted to go to a place that served actual good... food as opposed to a fancy looking place with subpar meals. The starters are delicious. The truffle oil garlic toast is crunchy andaromatic. The roasted brussel sprouts are crispy and crunchy. All of their pastas are made fresh in house daily. Reasonably priced pasta and SUPER fast service! Great for a semi casual stop. We got the calamari, arugula salad, cacio e pepe,... pasta alla norma, and the grilled shrimp special. All of it was great and the drinks were good as well. Full meal was on themore expensive side, but overall seemed worth it and comparable to other major cities. Met Him at a Bar is a cute restaurant serving up Italian dishes. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Service was... top notch as we had made reservations for a certain time but they were very accommodating as we arrived a little late due totraffic and finding parking. They do offer valet but there is also street parking. One of the workers there overheard that wewere celebrating a birthday and she was very thoughtful and brought out a little cup of whipped cream with a candle lit. Westarted with the brussel sprouts and Nonna's meatballs. Both were really good but would highly recommend the brussel sprouts. Ithad a nice crisp to it and the balsamic vinegar they drizzled on complemented it so well. For our entrees, we got the truffleravioli and the squid ink frutti di mare. Truffle ravioli tasted delicious but was definitely pricey for the amount of ravioliyou get. The squid ink pasta was well worth it as they did not skimp on the seafood in this dish. We then ended with achocolate lava cake which was perfectly sweet. Overall the atmosphere and service was perfect for a little date night. Food wasdelicious but I would say it falls a little over the pricey side. Would definitely go here again to try there other dishes. Read more
